I'm afraid you're probably SOL. If you read the TOS, you are at their mercy and if they decide to cancel your account, that's that... Did you click on any of the links that people posted here in these forums? That would do it... I would POLITELY write to them at the address that they gave you and ask if they could let you know what specifically caused your account to be cancelled. Chances are you'll only get a form response back, but it's worth a try... Karen W. Also, if you don't mind me asking...how many points did you have accrued? I've always wondered if the more points you accrue, the closer they watch your account. Last edited by karenw911; 12-04-2001 at 01:00 PM. |

lookn4deals.......I also had my accounts disabled. All of us in my house have accounts, my husband, son, daughter, father and me. We usually let our points add up all year and then cash them out around Christmas to get gift certificates at Target. I guess that is what "red-lighted" them. We have to send a copy of our driver's licenses to prove to them that we all are eligible for mypoints. Needless to say, I guess that we won't be using our gift certificates this year. That might be what happened to you also? Good luck!

| this happened to me too!
this happened to me too after I had about $100 in my account! Finally they just stopped replying to my emails after saying they would look into it. After a few months I opened another account and have had no problems, but I did loose the 100 which made me really upset.

I had almost 10,000 points and i didnt know my account was disabled until i tried to cash out. Then it told me i could not cash out! I still have no idea why they cancelled my account. I guess this is how they get back the money from websites that went bankrupt on them

| disabled mypoints account
This is interesting. Mine and my husbands account have been disabled just recently. They sent me an email and told me I would have a reply within 24hrs and I have yet to hear from them and that has been almost 2 weeks. I was cashing for a 10.oo Target and he a 10.00 Toys r us. Is there a phone number to call my points?

| mypoints disabled
I have a fax number for them......(415)676-2054, then ATTN: Membercare. When they disabled my accounts with my family, they sent me an email that contained the fax. It said to fax them a copy of a valid State or Federal Identification. This was a routine security measure implemented to protect both your account and the MyPoints program. It also said to feel free to black out any information other than name, birthdate and photo. I also have a mailing address for them..... MyPoints.com, Inc. ATTN: Membercare 100 California Street San Francisco, CA 94111 They also said that they are asking for ID as part of a newly implemented security check. It probably has to do with all of the lowering of points and making it harder for all of us to get points. I will just be glad to get my account back in order again. Have gotten many nice gift certificates from them. |
