| Help! metamission took over home page I KNOW this was in the SuzyKats monthly visit website section as that is all I've done today. Not sure which banner it was but metamission took over immediately and don't know how to get rid of it. It's been adding all kinds of junk to my bookmarks too. And the popups are driving me nuts. How do I change my homepage back? I've tried deleting the temp, history and cookies files but it keeps resetting itself. I'm not that computer literate so I'm at a loss here. Thanks for any help.

| Depending on what browser you use (Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc.) there is a function to prevent a specific URL from being loaded. You can set that function to prevent this page from loading. In Explorer it's called Content Advisor. Open up Help and search for "block" -- you'll get instructions for turning on and setting up Content Advisor. Good luck, hope this helps! |

| the help screen, but nothing in there on block or content advisor. I do have IE 5.0 but it's windows 95. Does that matter? I tried going in the start up files but it only has msn ie in there, nothing on this stupid metamission. I can't even find the file name for this to delete it out. |

| I had that happen the other day...but I was lucky..my newphew showed up and took care of it for me! I have no idea how he did it. Sorry. Hope you get it straightened out soon.

| Yes, looks as if Content Advisor is part of Win 98 and probably not in Win 95. FYI it's under Start/Settings/Control Panel/Internet Options/Content tab. Running Win 95, you might try one of the free "net nanny" software programs, normally used to block "adult" content but they might also have a function where you can type in a specific URL to be blocked. Good luck! |

| Otherwise Try Downloading IE 5.51 If all else fails try downloading IE 5.5 from Microsoft. You can get it from the windows update page. Most people never do this but if you have Microsoft Windows of any form you should regularly go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or
Register Now] and click on Product Updates. The page will actually tell you what things you don't have on your computer and should. |
