I've only heard reports of Funnymoney and Youtopia causing problems like that. It may be the new virus. Did any site ask you if you wanted to download anything, or did it just take over without asking you? I did Creations OK today, but I don't belong to Miller's.

If you need help in reseting your home page - let me know - just let me know what type of system you have and if you're using IE or netscape - that should at least get rid of that problem for you.

I really think it is Creation Rewards, but I am not sure...am afraid to go to either site at the moment. I am able to reset my homepage without a problem but getting rid of that MESS on my computer, windows continually popping up, crashing my browser(actually was using NetCaptor both times I had the problem but have Netscape and IE on my computer too) takes a LOAD of time and is a REALLY NEEDLESS PAIN! I remember someone mentioning something about this same problem a few weeks ago but I can't seem to find the entry here.... Could this be associated with this new virus?

The only time I ever had a problem with windows opening repeatedly was when I needed to update my flash program. The site that opened the window was searching for flash, and mine was wrong, so it kept looking. I downloaded the current version at macromedia.com, and it fixed the problem. Maybe it would work for you too.

I do Creations and Miller's and didn't have the problem your having. But like The Bunny, I don't play SKLIF.

The same thing happened to me. It's either CR or Millers. It happened a few days ago too and eventually my regular homepage was back. Thanks for sharing, I thought it was only me....

I don't play Sklif, just click on all the links at CreationRewards and Miller's. I AM NOT GOING THERE AGAIN until somehow I figure out what caused these time-consuming glitches.... THANK YOU, Schwisow, I was beginning to think I was the only one! But I BET that there are 100's more like us out there having the same problems!! NOW, HOW DO WE FIGURE OUT which website it is and which link on the website? Any ideas? Thanks also to you, Loann, but the flash thing is not the problem.... WHAT A PAIN!!!

There is code you can embed in a web page to change a homepage in IE. Just set it back.. nothing you can do to prevent it that I know of. Ryan

If you are using netcaptor, add the casino site to the "popup captor" and those windows won't open up. Take note of the url and then go to "tools" "netcaptor options" "popup captor" and then type in the url. By not opening the casino site, all the other popups should be suppressed.

I was playing Sklif at CR, but it was at Sklif I had the problem. I found a popup killer that works good. here is is. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] oh, it is free too |

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for all the helpful suggestions!!!! I will try as many as I can. But also the problem here is that I HAVE NO IDEA what site brings about the casino website problem taking over my homepage and crashing my browser with LOADS of pop-ups. It is NOT a casino link that you click on..is a pop-up that comes when you click on another link!!! Will try the panicware..THANKS for that too!!! IF ANYONE FINDS OUT WHAT LINK CAUSES THESE HORRIBLE POP-UPS PLEASE DO POST IT! I will of course avoid that link and also write to CR or Miller's about it too!!

I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago, and I was pretty sure it came while I was at Free Air Miles, specifically under "Slots". I stopped clicking at Slots and it never happened again. Mary |

b) you can also try just going to each site you think is suspect individually and see which one is causing the problem. |
