| Milesource = Scam
fyi colleagues, after redeeming my awardmiles for flooz a month ago, nothing ever arrived. three emails later, no response, and extensive frustration led me to do some research. i visited the BBB website to see what information they had regarding milesource. come to find out they have had THREE major complaints in the past three years. that has been enough to prevent them from being a BBB-approved company. also, i understand that there are attorney generals in various states that are looking into milesource for not fulfilling obligations to its members. their policy states that they will NOT redeposit awardmiles, however, i don't even have a worthless flooz gift certificate for the miles i did redeem. just a word of caution, but i think milesource is going under. i stopped wasting my time at their website. i'd encourage you to do the same. |

the problem isn't that FLOOZ went under but rather milesource did NOT send me the $60 worth of flooz i redeemed for in JUNE! regardless, the complaints filed with the BBB speaks volumes. i'm contacting my attorney general regarding this because there are a LOT of people who have had the same thing happen, not necessarily with flooz but other gift certificates as well. it wouldn't be a big deal either if they would simply email me or call me, but they have no concept of what "customer service" is. they are worse than mypoints. |

While I agree that the customer service at milesource is not the best (I e-mailed several times and never got more than the automated reply), I have never had any problems with them that were not fixed. When points were not credited, they were eventually posted (it took several months and multiple e-mails, but they were there). With regards to GC - I always got them on time and without a problem.

I haven't ever had any problems with cashing out and getting my gc's from milesource knock on wood!!! I have cashed out for quite a few lately and have gotten all of them from giftcertificate.com within the week even when I thought they were going under and cashed out they have all came in the mail in a weeks time. I just hope I didn't just jinx myself now though! haha

well all i know is that milesource has a blemished record with the Better Business Bureau. that's enough evidence for me. best of luck to those of you who continue to use milesource. i just know that they have not been fair with me and it only takes one bad experience for me to lose faith in a company. |

I have been doing milesource for over a year and have never had any problems receiving my gc.I just cashed out about 3 1/2 weeks ago and got my gc in mail last week. |

I wrote (twice) to Milesource about the Sklif points they hadn't credited me with. After the second email, ALL the points (about 1800) showed up in my account. That put me over the top with enough points to cash out for a $150 Supercertificate. I cashed out two or three weeks ago, and two days ago I got the notification that I could go to Supercerts to pick up my GCs from them. It went reasonably well, I've always had to give them a little nudging about the Sklif points, but I always got every one of them eventually. So I have mainly good things to say about Milesource. I realize that sometimes things don't go as well. In your case Mr Thrify, it may be a problem with Flooz. I thought Flooz was supposed to be more of a risk, that's why I went with Supercerts. Mary |

Even if it is a problem with Flooz, I seriously doubt that Milesource will be out anything if Flooz goes under. In fact, they'll come out ahead because they won't have to award certificates to people who redeemed for Flooz (and I never even got a notice that Flooz had gone under and Milesource was still accepting redemptions TWO DAYS after Flooz went offline). I just feel that Milesource should at least respond to my polite email messages. My experience has been very negative and I'm trying to give them a fair chance, but I don't believe they are doing a very good job of communicating with affected members. Their policy states that awardmiles can't be redeposited. If there was any type of financial gain to Flooz and/or Milesource as a result of my redemption, I guess I am screwed, but if not then I feel Milesource should make an exception in this case. I spent a LOT of time accumulating those miles and will be very upset if it all is for naught. I should have read the Better Business Bureau report BEFORE I spent all of my time at "clickfix" in the first place. I would have known better than to hope for a gift certificate. |

Oh, I see what you mean. Have they out and out refused to give you back the points that you bought Flooz with? That would be awful of them. Hopefully Flooz' going under has caught them unawares, and when the smoke clears, they will see what's right and give you back your points after all. Let's hope. Mary |
