i don't know if/how many of you are Hilton Honors members, but it's amazing how easy it is to earn a FREE night or more at Hilton. first, join the [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] ... after signing up go to (and save this in your favs) [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] you can update your profile TWICE every three months. update quarters begin in 1/1, 4/1, 7/1, and 10/1. so, you can accumulate 9000 points/year for about 10 minutes of time TOTAL. with their "point stretcher" program, you can get a FREE weekend at specific hiltons for 6000 points. 10,500 points gets you TWO nights. also, for those of you who are Mypoints members, you can transfer 1000 Mypoints for 1000 Hilton points. this is one of the few remaining EASY freebies out there. I'm already a member and didn't know about the updating your profile thing. Thanks! Unfortunately, their site seems to not be working right now so I will have to remember to go back later!

i'm so surprised that more people haven't heard about the Hilton program or the update points. it's a good feeling knowing that so many of you are signing up and getting points for updating your profile. awesome, isn't it? we're taking a trip to denver next month and are staying at an Embassy Suites. $149/night, but i'm using 15,000 points for THREE FREE NIGHTS. free cocktail drinks every night (i don't drink, but it's still a freebie), free newspaper, and free HOT breakfast for EVERY person in the room EVERY day. can't beat that. also, you can transfer FFMiles to Hilton. 5000 AA miles = 10,000 Hilton points. for some of you that may be a better value than a FREE RT domestic ticket. if FFMiles are "worth" 2 cents/mile, 5000 miles = $100, but since you can get TWO FREE nights at a Hilton for a mere 10,500 it may be something worth looking into. Hmm....thought this promo was posted before, but I guess not. See the following link (supposedly expired June, 01, 2001) but some people report success with it, even last week. The gist (or is it jist?) of it is you'll get gold upgrade plus you can get up to 50,000 points (half of a 6 night hotel stay in Hawaii, etc) after 4 stays (1st=5,000, 2nd=10,000, 3rd=15,000, 4th=20,000) within 90 days of signup. If you have some of the cheapies around then you'll be set. I stayed 4 times for about $225 total out of pocket. The promo came out right after a previous promo so I got lucky and satisfied both promos with the 4 stays so I got about 110k points out of it. all the rules are on the page you'll see. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] On your account page at Hilton, if you see it listing you as gold then you know you signed up successfully. If you're already gold, then I guess you'll find out if it still works after you're next stay.

we don't live close to any hilton's and would not have had the time to earn so many points (since it's per stay rather than per day). a great deal nonetheless. |
