I signed up when I first saw this and have rec'd the 1000 points. Have since updated my account but have not seen any additional points. Has anyone else rec'd the "update" points?

with everyone swamping their system, they may have pulled the profile updates or limited them to one/quarter instead of the two. i sure hope that isn't the case.

I upgraded status twice this morning and both times I was credited with 1000 points. (dare I try 3?)

Gold is great. We went to Vancouver and we were upgraded to a HUGE suite and it cost us $64 a day. My sister and I both did the 50K promotion so while we were in Vancouver we checked in, checked out, checked in at the same hotel three times. We now each have a total of 80,000 points and we keep earning them

i haven't had problems updating my profile. has everyone been able to update TWICE after joining? you should have 3000 points in your account.

I signed up yesterday - with much thanks to you - and then tried later last night to update by changing something in my profile, but didn't receive anymore points. All I have is the 1000.

Yes, I've updated successfully my account and my mate's account and increased by 2000 points each. Also I was able to upgrade my account to gold, but DM's account hasn't changed yet...I think I have to call again. Thanks for the tip, MrThrifty.

make sure that you update your profile using the following link, [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] ... otherwise you will NOT receive your profile update points. be sure to bookmark the link. it's tough for many people to remember.

Thanks, Mr. Thrifty from me too. I have tried for several days and could not get the extra points, but finally did tonight. Also, I changed my email address instead of room preference(which I had changed several times), so don't know if that had anything to do with it or not.

i'm just glad i could be of assistance. i take pride in my username and my ability to locate such deals. it just gets frustrating at times when people take advantage of that and don't thank you for your help.

all of the thanks you people have expressed is enough for me. it's a good feeling to know that there are still grateful people out there.

It all worked for me just the way MrThrifty said it should - so now I have 3000 points!
I tried to do the eRewards/50k promo but couldn't right now, since it is (way) after-business-hours, and the tollfree number said to call back.

I feel like such a dumb bunny! I couldn't get the points before, maybe I wasn't using the correct link, but I kept hitting the update button at the bottom of the page when apparently should have instead used the next button on the right side of the page.
Got my 3000 points. Thanks for the help.

try using the "next" button on the last preference page. i think it's the email preference page. hit the "next" button to get the bonus points. that has always worked for me, unlike the update button which isn't as reliable.

just click on all of the "next" buttons until you get to the bonus confirmation page.
