Ebates ???

Has anyone heard anything about Ebates not paying out for the next quarter in August?
Something to do with CyberRebate.

I hope that's not the case - I do have a check coming, although not much, but none of it is from CyberRebate purchases...

Wish you had specified where you heard that rumor. Preferring info straight from the source, I have sent an e-mail to ebates through their site's CR screen, asking about next quarter checks and CyberRebate amounts. I asked them the same question shortly after the CR BK announcement and received "we don't know yet" in reply -- so I've asked them if they know YET. I'll post any reply here. Meantime, unless someone has specific info direct from ebates, why speculate?

I also Emailed them and this was my reply. It is a carbon copy of what another person got, on another board, with the exception that it did have my name in it and it is signed by a different person. I suspect it is just a form type letter that they are sending out (because I didn't even order from Cyber rebates and my question was, if this is happening, how will it effect those of us that did not order from cyberrebates). I really think we need to just take a wait and see attitude, not get our hopes up and when it comes it will make us feel better. I suspect, you will get a similar reply sydnie. It seems that even they are not really sure what will happen.

The good news is that on May 15th we sent out our quarterly checks for orders posted by March 31st. If your account summary page indicates that your order was paid out in this check, you will still receive your
Ebate.

For purchases made after this time, we are aggressively seeking to collect money that we are owed by CyberRebate. Since they have filed for bankruptcy protection the outcome of the process is uncertain.

We know that this is a hard time for many of our customers and we are doing our best to resolve this difficult situation. Once we have more information on this matter we will immediately provide an update.

We appreciate your patience and support and look forward to your continued use of Ebates when shopping online.

Just as an FYI......when Dash decided to discontinue its service, they gave instructions on how to claim rebates owed to you, but also stated that they would not be paying out any rebates on CyberRebate purchases.

I wonder if Ebates' position depends on if they are able to collect any money owed from CyberRebate.

I also think we just have to wait and see. I did not purchase from cyberebate either, so I hope I will get my rebates eventually. I had read so many bad posts about cyberebate, that I never wanted to take a chance on them. When I saw how much Ebates promoted Cyberebate, I thought the problems were clearned up. I guess Ebates didn't do their homework. I wish Cyberebate would just close up and quit causing cyber havoc!!!

Bassmount, thanks for the factual info. Ebates should just post this on their site to save themselves the trouble! Here's what they ended up sending me:
