I signed up for a 30 day trial of the Best Friends Pet Club and cancelled before the trial was over. They charged my credit card anyway on March 20. I proceeded to cancel again and they said they would credit the $69.95 to my card. The credit never appeared, and since then I've called and written to them about 10 times. They just keep saying that they'll "research" it and let me know, but as far as I can tell, nothing is being done. Has anyone else had trouble with them? Just wondering if there is anything that I can do. I've have reported them to a fraud site, but I really want to get the money back!!

Unfortunately, 60 days has passed(they kept saying that it might take up to 60 days for the credit to go through, and I stupidly waited), so my bank can't help with this anymore. And, I used a debit card, not a credit card.

What they did is sneaky and unethical. I'm sorry you used a debit card inst. of a credit card. This comes too late but in cases like this it's almost always safer to use a cc b/c you can dispute chges. The only thing I can say is bug the stew out of them. Did you write down the names of the peo. at the club you spoke with? If not keep calling and write names then ask for the same person ea. time. Challenge them concerning whether they keep their word-or not- b/c that's imp. w/a club memb. deal. Hope some this works-let us know!~ |
