I recently wrote FR just for kicks asking when they were coming back, and they responded with this email! Dear FreeRider, Since our site came down on April 30, there's been much speculation about our future. We'd like to assure you that we plan to return to the Web - in stages - with the first stage launching sometime this summer. Meanwhile, when we come across offers we think you'll like, we'll share them with you via email - along with regular updates on our progress. You'll find the first of these below. It's a free $50 gift certificate from Bidz.com! Happy surfing, The FreeRide Team

Yep, I sure did. I was wondering what "stages" means? I'm just glad they are still planning on coming back with so many others floundering lately. I don't spend much time on incentive programs, but I enjoy them immensely! |

So folks got the same e-mail as I did. Now, did ya'll sign up for the free $50 certificate at Bidz? What a rip off!! Bunch of stuff you can't use the certificate on; bunch of stuff that is totally junk; and bunch of stuff way overpriced. Thanks, but no thanks!! |

I also got the freeride email. I did not sign up for the GC because I already signed up for this a long time ago through another newsletter - never used it though and probably never will!

I went for the $50 GC because of the jewelry at Bidz. I need to find a good place to buy something for my 13 yo dd. She's tired of her neck tuning green with the stuff she has now, so I made a deal with her for a good (small) piece of jewelry for good grades this time. Looks like I have to pay up! Two questions - 1. Someone said there were very few things you can use the certificate on. I thought if there was the guarantee seal on the description, it meant you could use the GC towards buying it? Is there something I missed, or maybe jewelry is one of the few things that has the seal? 2. You said things are overpriced - do you mean jewelry as well? Does anyone knows of a better place to bid on (or buy) jewelry? You might think it's a bit much to give her this, but she's a very good girl, doesn't smoke or drink and does so many things for me, like load my wheelchair in and out of the car whenever I ask, and walk beside me to make sure I don't fall. Because I've been sick with MS since she was 6 months old, she has a lot of burdens on her that none of her friends have. I'm glad for a way to show her how special I think she is. But now I need to find a good price! Thanks for any answers to my questions! Mary |
