my advice is stay away from milesource. my first redemption was for $25 in Pizzahut GC's that took over 2 months to get here after numerous calls. Then I figured I would give them a second chance and order the 3 pack of blockbuster cards they had on special with my remaining points. They took my redemption ok, but gave me movies on line! after numerous calls to New York!, I finally got them in the mail last week. This took almost 6 weeks. Burnt once, twice stupid. labenn1 |

I am really sorry you had these problems...it has been my experience that milesource is one of the few legit sites on the net today.....i have been with them for over a year and have always been satisfied...good luck...

I also love milesource. I have always received my GCs extra quick from them. I'm sorry you haven't had success with them.

Milesource has been reliable (at least for me) in getting the supercertificates out in a timely manner. The problem with the redemption of the supercerts seems to lay with giftcertificates.com. There's some info that going around that they are about to close their doors and that many gcs are out of stock. You have some choices --- hold on to your points til milesource finds another source for gift certificates; go to giftcertificates.com to see if the gcs you want are in stock and then cash in and redeem the supercert right away, or cash in for something other than a supercertificate.

| THANKS......
THANK YOU, realaud, but I am really confused and need more info. 1) I went to giftcertificates.com and have no idea if what I want is in stock. How does one do that? 2) Are the gift certificates that giftcertificates.com distribute called supercertificates? Are they good online and offline? 3) Is Milesource actually looking into a new source for gift certificates or we just have no idea? I REALLY APPRECIATE your help here..THANKS AGAIN!!!! I JUST DON'T WANT TO GET STUCK ONCE AGAIN so maybe I am being a bit overcautious....... PS I went back to the site and THINK I figured out HOW you can tell if a GC is in stock or not. Go to the merchant in which you are interested and then look for the denomination that you want to order. IF that denomination is not listed for that merchant it is out of stock. AM I RIGHT? Unfortunately only $50 and $100 GC's seem to be listed for the GC's I wanted to order and I only have enough for a $25 GC...guess I am out of luck!!!

Vie, when you redeem thru Milesource, you will receive a Supercertificate in your email within approx 2 weeks or less. The Supercertificate is actually a gift cert to giftcertificates.com. You then go to gc.com and pick out the actual gc's you want. For instance, I cashed in last month for a $50 supercert. I then chose a $25 gc to Joe's Crab Shack and a $25 gc to Houlihans. Giftcertificates.com then mailed those two gc's to me. I had them within 3 or 4 days. I've done this three times in the past year or so and personally, have not had a problem (knock on wood).

THANKS SO MUCH, The Bunny!!!! NOW I understand how it works!!!!! My husband and I are both ready to cash out...wonder if we can put both $25 GC together and get one $50 GC if the $25 ones are unavailable? I am still concerned about the info I keep hearing that GiftCertificates.com are in trouble...any word on that? YOU GUYS are great! THANKS so much for your help!!!!

2) According to the thread on this board, people have emailed milesource asking that they begin looking into alternatives should gc.com go under. I understand that there was positive feedback from milesource re the webcertificate option. If you are in no hurry to cash in, I would suggest waiting until you either have the higher amount of points to cash in for the larger supercert (that would also give you enough time to see if gc.com is going to vanish) or wait to see if they will find an alternative. There is always the flooz option, unless you don't feel there are enough stores that use flooz for payment. A note here--the flooz site doesn't say it, but you can pay for gift certificates from 800giftceticates.com with flooz. When you check out at 800gc they ask if you want to pay with beenz, flooz or credit card. So, if you would rather have the restaurant gift certificates, get the flooz then buy from 800gc. |

vieprivee, yes you can combine your supercertificates when you get the codes. When you are ready to redeem your supercertificates you can follow the link in your email to giftcertificates.com. It will take you to the redemption screen and you will see the option to enter more than one supercertificate code. Just enter yours and dh's codes and you will have that combined amount to purchase your gc(s).
