Freeride - Searches - made easy (or as easy as it can get!)

Once you get to the Search page, DO NOT CLICK DIRECTLY ON THE COVER PAGE!

Look to the left side where there is a list of Search Catagories - there are 4 basic ones: General; News/Sports/Fun; Business/Finance; and Resources. Each one of these catagories has a list below it of sub-catagories.

You are allowed 4 searches in each main catagory. So 1st, click on General and a list will appear in the main portion. (Note, this list in the main portion are the sub-catagories of that field!!) You may do 4 searches here (no more than 2 in each box). To make it easy, I do one in each box up to 4 (even though there may be more than 4 boxes here, you can only do a max of 4 searches in this catagory). Once you have collected your points ( for this page, click on the left side again in News/Sports/Fun and do same. Again, only 4 searches here. Repeat, for Business/Finance. Then repeat for Resources but remember, you will only get 3 searches here which will give you the max of 15 allowed per day.

Hope this helps.

Also, once you click on a search box, and a new box opens, just wait. While they tell you you must click inside to get your points, that is not true. Just wait once the page comes up and after a few seconds (well maybe more than a few LOL!!) your balance will reflect the 2 points and then close that box and do another!

Yes, it DOES help! I was so confused last night trying to figure out where I was allowed to search and how many searches I could get where. Thanks for figuring it out for all of us!

QUESTION!?
ANYONE having trouble getting featured sponsor points? VERY FREQUENTLY I will click on them and the points never show up...then they disappear and I can't find them again!!!!

Thanks Tigger's Lady for the tips. I had it figured out somewhat, but your directions really helped!

As far as the FS, I have found they do not show up in my counter at the bottom, but today if I click on Check Wallet the points show up.

Hey, if we can average 50 points a day that's not to bad....

On the search-o-rama page it says "get 2 points for searching and clicking at least one link that interests you on the results page - up to 15 a day" - are those points in ADDITION to the points awarded for searching? Your instructions helped so much, but I'm still unclear on that part! Thanks TL.

I don't think so...I believe they just want the merchant to know that they are informing us to click through, (which is what they want), however, I have received all my points without doing that at all.

I do not believe clicking through would give you any "more" points than the 30 points, but I could be wrong - wouldn't be the first or last time for that! My guess tho, is it is not for any more points. Let us know if you do get more points for that tho!
