Personally I wonder why people complain about this site. They are giving us something for nothing, after all. I have received over 20 different samples from them since I started hunting freebies in August. The samples are almost always packaged well, and usable. Sometimes slow in sending, but to me that means that they have a lot of interested people. And I have never won a contest, but it is still fun trying. I am slowly but surely accumulating points for something or other someday. LOL I like this site.

Not to pick a fight, Chippers, but if you only joined in August, you probably don't know that SS used to pay you $50.00 for 2500 points, and $100.00 for 4000 pts. Then they stopped the cashfest, after promising that they would continue it for awhile. Then they lowered their rewards to a $20.00 book, CD, video or DVD. Now they're only offering junk.

OMG I joined in OCT. I have been going there ever since, I did'nt know thier stuff was junk. I do get irritated about the same old stuff that they have though. Mostly Baskin Robbins Candy. Iwish I would've been around for the money.

BTW, I checked the prizes last nights--they seriously need to get some! I'm almost in line to get a $15 Amazon.com GC--if they had any!

And so I was thinking that I liked this site...I never knew that they went this downhill.... THIS STINKS.... I have 1695 points and all i can get that is avail. for me is 6 issues of STUPID magazines.. I guess they really went downhill and i never even knew... Plus there bigger prizes are never avail. anyway they probably just keep them there for show this way people think they are a good site... BOY I WAS FOOLED... but they do have some good samples sometimes so i am not gonna knock them down too hard... Cant beleive this...;o(

I am not fighting with this comment so please do not be offended. This is just an opinion:
I understand that this site used to give away some pretty expensive/ good stuff. But I think that it is probably the only way they could keep from going under to reduce their prizes to junk/ nothing worth getting. I just enjoy picking up those 20 or so little freeies along the way and testing my brain on those little contests which I never ever win.
Call me foolish, I call it realistic. I think the reason so many sites have gone under is unrealistic deals that they give us consumers, for which they get nothing back. In the end they lose money and go under...

I saw this on another board and went to check it out under FAQ on SS. I have 6000 and something points and hope they don't do away with the prizes- i've woked hard for those

Where are the prizes?

In 2000, over 50 million miles were redeemed for prizes, which translates to more than 26,000 prizes that were sent to our members. These numbers are a tribute to our members' active participation and feedback.

Frankly, due to the overwhelming success of the program, there has been a temporary prize shortage. Consequently, we are looking for ways to make the prize distribution more equitable for all of our members. One way we're going to do this is by implementing a batch system for the prizes, similar to the batch system for samples. Therefore, prizes will be made available at various times throughout the day rather than all at once.

Meanwhile, we're continually looking for ways to make the program even more rewarding, so stay tuned.

Chippers I am like you I like start sampleing. I check it every day it is one site that when I do get to get a freebie I know that I will receive it. Well that is why they make so many flavors of ice cream everyone has their favorite.
