I have been doing this for several months now and they do pay real cash. You have to request the cash when your account reaches at least $20. They only pay if you have a confirmed propay or paypal account-but they pay within a day of your request. Do it every day and it works out to about $20 every 6 weeks.

Be advised that they have very strict rules...one account per household/computer. Read all the rules carefully, they don't tolerate cheaters ...even inadvertant ones. So those of you who have husbands/wives you do the point programs for, know that you have to choose who you are going to sign up for it. They check the names on the bank account that you confirm with paypal. They emailed me to ask for an explanation why the name on my papal account was different from my name that I registered with them. After the explanation, I was politely asked to change it on my cashmap profile.

You should do mypoints and beenz. They take up very little extra time...and as far as mpoints goes, even if you do nothing but click on the bonus mails, the points add up. I haven't paid for gas in 6 months

Could someone please explain how to get points in cashmap? I signed up for it a couple of months ago. Every couple of days I go back to it and spend some time rereading how it works, but I'll be darned if I can figure out much of anything other than the searches. Any help out there?

Thanks,
Arly

the easiest way to get points is to go to the "beach" area and just click on the ads. Each ad you click on opens a new window. The point value is under each ad (100 points = $1.00). you can click on more than one at the same time as a new window opens for each, but you have to wait for each site to load completely before you close it. There is also a shopping section where you can earn points by shopping and a search section where you can do searches for points, but I don't really bother with those, and a sign up area to get points for joining sites--but most of us have already signed up for those under other point programs.

Oh, and you can check to see how much you have accumulated by clicking the "stats" link at the very bottom of the home page.

Thanks realaud. I'll check out the beach later today.

About not signing up for sites because we've already signed up, here's how I handle that:
I have a bunch of different emails that I use for all the different programs. To keep them straight, I do something like arlysweeps@.... for sweepstakes entries, arly....mypoints@ for mypoints entries, arlycashmap@ for cashmap entries. I'm sure you get the picture. And, something that I found that's really neat is that if you use Outlook Express (or higher), you can have all those other email accounts download to Outlook. I have each account download to a separate folder set up for that particular account. And, the best part is when you delete an email from Outlook, it deletes it from the email site on the next download. Anyway, by having all the different email accounts, I can sign up for stuff over and over!

Wow...never thought of that. I like outlook express for the reason that you can setup multiple email accounts and manage them from there, but never thought to use it that way. Thanks for the tip....when I get some energy I just may do that

Okay, now I'm really lost. I just went to Cashmap and followed realaud's instructions. I clicked on the beach area, and every single item in that area says "No cashmap points for this offer" at the end of it. I clicked on them all anyway and waited for them to load and then checked my balance, and had not been credited with any points.

Any ideas how come they say that? They've said that ever since I signed up. I guess that's how come I get so frustrated with not understanding how cashmap works.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Arly

Ok, first you have to make sure you are logged in. If you are not, you will be asked to when you get to the point earning area of the beach. Click on the beach area on the map on the home page. Then on the next page ignore the ad box and click on the text "beach" on the next page you will either be asked to log in or it will say <name> you are logged in. Then there will be a whole bunch of ad bars with point offerings under each. you will see ads for freeshop, global music network, etc. freeshop is worth 1 pt., gmn worth 1 1/2 points, etc. All my offers have had point values, I haven't hit any that said no cashmap points available. Is it possible it's because you are not logged in? If all else fails, email them, they respond quickly.

Ahhh .... thank you Relaud! I think I got it! I just went and followed your instructions and voila! I was clicking on beach on the map, but not clicking on beach once it got to the next page since I thought I was already at the beach. But, apparently I wasn't. All's well that ends well! I guess I'll start racking up those points now. Although I have to say I really miss all the freeride money. I'm still getting my measly 25 or 30 points a day from freeride. I figure for the 5 minutes it takes me, I'll go ahead and keep doing it and hope that after the first of the year everyone has new advertising money and things get going again.

Thanks again for your help. Have a good holiday.
