What is wrong with Freeride today?

No bonus or showcase sponsors. Also, no points for any of the searches. I have gotten 0 points today.

I only got 3 of my searches to "count", but I DID get a couple of yellow light specials <G> (bottom of page flashing lights)

I never get the searches except when I do one, go out, come back in and do a the next one, ect. Did anyone notice Alta Vista search is gone??

I swear, 152 more points for an Amazon GC and I'm joining the "free at last team". It wouldn't be so bad if it started out being a tough-to-get-points site, say, like SuzyKats. At least you know it takes forever to get a $5.00 GC. But to go from 1 GC every 3-4 days and now this, it's psychologically a depressing affair to even visit the site.

Just got done with FR. All my featured sponsors were Grab-a-cabs, which I don't do because I have no luck at all. Also no flashing yellow lights.

I did get all the search points, but one thing that I have found out is that you have to wait a certain amount of time in between each one. I use 20-22 seconds. I have a clock that ticks very loudly in my computer room and just count them up. Know it sounds boring, but it works. I am sorry to see the Alta Vista go as when I really am looking for something important, I can never get what I need with Go and use AV instead and now I can't get points for it!!

All my FS's today were the cabs. However I did get credit for all my searches but not 1 single blinking light.

One thing I do to make sure I'm credited for my searches is after the smaller browser window comes up for the first search, I minimize it and then go to the search box, type in my next search and watch for my points to credit. I never reopen the smaller browser back up. I had trouble getting credit for all mysearches until I began doing it this way. HTH

My intent is not to brag or show off, but I think having DSL makes a huge difference in the difficulty level of getting the points to count. The search points show up immediately for me, even when there are zero featured sponsors, so it's not the site. Granted it takes much more time than it used to to acquire points enough to order a GC, but to compensate for the delays I have started eating my breakfast (usually a bowl of oatmeal - cheap) while doing the searches, therefore I don't kick myself over time wasted. I realize this wouldn't work for every one, but I thought I should add my 2 cents worth.

Today, I got my searches; however, the FS were all Grab-Cabs, which I've never won. However I DO click on them because if I can't get the "points", might as well get an entry into a contest that no one <G> ever wins! I always wait to see if my "search" was registered before inputting another one. I also wait for the yellow lights (which I didn't see today) to register as well. Are there any "hidden" points to share with us all? I already receive Respond and Cataloglink, and use their Visa card for points.

Can anyone offer some suggestions for getting those yellow blinking lights to work? I've never gotten so much as one point credited for them either in Netscape or Explorer. With points being so low these days, I'd like to at least be able to get all the ones that are available - as I'm sure everyone else would too. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well I cashed out my last points on freeride and think that this is the end of it for me, I don't want to waste time getting just near what I need for another gc when FreeRide is rumored to be on the way out and it not expected their site to be up much longer. FreeRide is rumored to be in liquidation.
