For Anyone Having Problems With Freeride DP and Search Crediting Read ON

Well, after spending lots of time trying to find out how to make certain that all my Destination Points and My Searches have credited for the day on Freeride I have finally figured out a little system for insuring that they always credit. Here is what I do, and it has worked for me for the last month with no problems.

First, I usually do my searches first to get them out of the way. I usually use altavista, making sure I sign in on my first search so that I get both my altavista and freeride points. Because freeride gives 2 points for 10 searches a day, I hate to pass these up.
Type in the item you are going to search for on either the altavista or go.com search area on the freeride screen. When you get the popup, minimize it so that it falls to the bottom bar on your screen. Now, when you have typed in the item you are searching for, hit the enter button 4 seperate times until you get the "You have already been awarded points for this search today" icon in your freeride toolbar. That way you can be assured that the points, which don't always show up instantly in your wallet, have been credited for each search. It really doesn't take much time, and this way you can always get your 10 search credits for the day.
When doing your destination points, here is what you need to do, to make sure you always get credited for your points.
Sites that are listed multiple times under DP (Like the New York Times, Web MD, etc.) sometimes don't do well the first several times you click on them. What you need to do is start on the first DP area you like, I usually do Travel, then select your big point DP and click, always make certain that the DP screen has fully loaded and that the page you have clicked on has loaded. Now go to the bottom of your browser and click back on the freeride area, that screen should pop back up. If you are going to get a credit for the DP points you should see the screen start changing on the freeride screen, wait a few seconds and the points should appear in your wallet. When they appear click back on the DP screen.
Now, if your points don't instantly credit after doing this, hit your back browser on the DP screen and try again.
I have done this many times and have had no further problems with the points crediting.

Thanks - these are all good things to point out! I just wanted to add one thing (and maybe you said it and I missed it), but on the destination points, DO NOT click on a point banner while the main Destination Point page is communicated with freeride. Wait until the bottom of your browser says "Done" then click on your point banner.

I always make sure that I do this (if I am at work I have a system to resize and place my screens stategically so I can work and monitor both my freeride wallet and my browser communication so I know when to click on stuff), and I never have problems with the DP points crediting.

With the search points what I do is type in my search then minimize the search window and wait until the next banner changes. Once it has changed I know my points have been put in even though they don't show...I usually note my points just before I enter the search section and when I leave I make sure I have 20 points added to that. It has worked for me so far
