You have to have the points to wager in order to win thousands. You can only earn about 600 points from opinion polls, the only other way to earn points without signing up for spam offers. You can in THEORY win "thousands" at solitaire, but honestly, the percentage of winning at Solitaire is not that great. At least half the time, you'll lose your points right back.
