MYPOINTS CANCELLING ACCOUNTS???

I was just visiting PAYYOBILLS.COM, and I read a post from a guy who had been cancelled from MYPOINTS because he had not been going directly through their site to get his points??? Anyone know anything about this? For what reasons would they cancel our accounts? Can we get in trouble for using this board to get points? I've been using it for a few weeks now, and I don't rack up a lot of points per week... maybe about 500 or so, mostly directly through MYPOINTS.

I forgot to say that he said they looked into his account because he was acquiring points too quickly within a given time period. Anyone have anything to add???

I will come out of lurking to say ... I had this happen to me. I questioned why some points hadn't been awarded, and they immediately froze my account, saying I hadn't clicked through one of their links to get to the site. (I don't understand this -- if they disputed the points, then don't give me the points -- it seems unfair to freeze my account!)

In my experience, e-mails were ignored. I had to make SEVERAL phone calls before it was resolved. One tip: Start documenting YESTERDAY, because they do not keep very good records.

same thing happened to my BF's account

bottom line: mypoints is lame, they cut the points for myway and other things, takes to long to earn points, freeride.com is WAY better

I just read about a girl who had a site like Payyobillz, and not only did they cancel her account, but they told her that if she did not shut down her site they were going to sue her.

I think Mypoints has gone way down hill. They take a long to credit your hard earned pts, if they even credit them at all. And now you can't even log into your account without refreshing your member key.

Freeride is a much better program.
