For anyone interested in freeride

They have started sending me emails that say

" You’ll also get 5 Tokens just for reading this email and clicking on any of the links in this message!"

Well just to try it out, I logged into my freeride account then clicked on one of the links in the email, than hit back and reloaded the freeride page. It credited my account with 5pts. I did this for all the links in the email and was credited 5pts for each one. There were 9 links = 45pts

The email's subject was "Holiday Coupons and Special Offers!"

Thanks for the insight. Unfortunately I deleted that message and only clicked on one of the links. Will keep my eyes open for future messages and try that again. I doubt I'll ever get to the 10,000 point mark. Those points are hard to come by.

Freeride used to smoke on the point opportunities and I got a lot of rewards. They dwindled and the site shut down with a promise of reopening. Since they've come back, the points aren't as plentiful. The prizes aren't that terrific right now, but maybe they'll be adding more. You need 10,500-11,000 points for a $10 GC to Amazon, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Bahama Breeze (I think that's all they have available right not). They do give you a lot of points for doing online shopping thru their site, but I usually do mine thru MyPoints or Memolink, since I like the prizes a lot more. Hope that helps. If you do decide to sign up, you might want to sign up by being referred by one of the board moderators so they can earn points for referring you. I just go to Freeride and click on the "Take a Cab" when the popup shows up. One poster to the board gave a great hint of waiting for the 5 pointer to show up and then clicking on the window several times. It usually gives me 10 points (5 x's two clicks) for my effort. I think I'll be 10,000 years old before I ever get to a point award level. Those are my thoughts ... anyone else?

I do my points shopping at MyPoints and they are always prompt with their rewards. I may give FreeRide a try though.
