Mypoints Disable's Accounts After Members Cash In There Points

Mypoints disable my sister account & 2 of our friends after she cash her points in for gift certificates. She has been a member almost 2 years. Most of the points was from shopping. She had over 60,000 points in her account. They ask her to send in id she did they said her address on her account is diffrent than the one she mail it.She explain that she had just gotten a new house & had not change her address on her id.She change her mypoints account info. Also saw on another group that they have disable other account after you redeem points.

I have enjoy mypoints a lots,I have almost enough points to cash in I hope this does not happen to me.Mypoints cancel the points she redeem from Jcpennys certificate.

Have A Nice Day,

Rosetta

Mypoints Account Blocked

My sister account is block. My mypoints account is fine. Also other friends are too.She has to send her id again with picture & s.s. black out. That is not the correct way to do things.Waiting until points are cash out then block acccounts. My sister lives in another state.Earing over 600,000 points is a real big lost. All the points are on her only account.I see no point in trying to cheat. The amount of the certificate small or large should not be a factor to suspend someone account & did get any email from they telling why & also block from the entire mypoints sites. She orders certificates but no webcertificates at all.She did not redeem all of the points. She say shedid not cash in all her ponts. But mypoints cancel the certificates taht was order & add them back to her account. I did not see any $5.00 prizes for points. I saw a post that someone said they cash out for $5.00 prizes. She has redeem points for a couple of months ago webcertificates also & got them.I am going to cash in mypoints soon,I may email or call & ask them do I need to submit my id so I know in advance if my account will be close are not.
Thanks,
Rosetta

That's too bad. Was it 600,000 or 60,000 points? Just curious. I have been with them for over two years and have never had a problem cashing out for GC's (most of them for $5), and I have cashed out for a LOT over the years! Only person I know of first hand who had their account blocked was a friend of mine who was cheating and got caught! Closed his account, took his points and wouldn't let him open another one. Hope you get your figured. MyPoints is an excellent program (probably the best around, IMO) if it isn't abused.

I've cashed out a few times - last time was about 2 months ago -- never a problem.

I hope your sister is able to get this straightened out with MyPoints and get her gift certificates. I've never had a problem cashing out with MyPoints before, even for the $50 gift certificates. The few times I've ever had to use their customer service they've been helpful, if somewhat slow to respond.
