Treasure Trooper

The treasure hunt is a monthly event on the Treasure Trooper forum, occurring after payout (around the 18th-20th); the exact time and date are announced both on the TT forum and in the mid-month newsletter that goes out, via email, to all members. The format varies quite a bit, as do the prizes, but it's always interesting and worthwhile! This past month's was a logic problem--the type that gives you a variety of information (e.g., Joe drove a blue car, Simpson and Brown both had GM vehicles) and then you have to figure out, say, in this totally fabricated example , the first and last name of the person who drove which color of which vehicle. The member who solved it first got $50!!

There are always a variety of ongoing contests on the forum, run by both admin and members. They can range from a trivia quiz, with $1 PayPal to the first poster of each correct answer, to something as simple as posting a particular phrase, with the winner (in this case, of $10!) randomly chosen. In other words, there's lots of fun and opportunities to earn extra cash and prizes!

Here's another update, just a few days later. As you can see by comparing this with previous earnings, TT keeps adding lots of new opportunities, even for those of us who have been around for a while! People say, "But what if I run out of offers?" No worries. It doesn't happen. TT makes sure there's always something rewarding to accomplish! And referral commission builds all on its own....

The gems in my signature, by the way, are virtual rewards for accomplishing certain milestones in various aspects of the TT experience, e.g., cash offers, surveys, shopping, referrals, etc. Right now, they simply mark progress (and look pretty! ), but it's rumored that they may have some "magical" value in a big treasure hunt that's being developed, the prize for which will be $100!

I joined and got immediately signed up for other points sites, is that right? If it is, as I've already unsubbed from at least one of them, so far, I don't see where I can earn anything. The places I shop at online are never a part of these programs. HELP? Please pm me. Thanks!

The amounts are itemized right above the total: of the $245.98, $123.25 was from offers, $0.50 from shopping, and $122.23 from referrals. First-level referrals gain you 20% of their earnings, and second-level (referrals of referrals) yield 5%.

Since that posting, I've received my February check ($153.90), and here are my up-to-date stats:

Wow, you have some awesome referrals. I think so far on Treasure Trooper, my referrals have earned me about 79 cents! haha! I know it is just the luck of the draw, but I have a hard time understanding how once someone signs up and actually sees what is available on the site, they don't participate.

Don't worry, if you just get a few referrals going you can earn a lot of money. For example, the guy that started this thread has 115 1st level referrals and 542 2nd level referrals. However he's only got $99 in commission from all those referrals combined.

On my TT account I only have 45 1st level referrals and 5 second level referrals. But my commissions from all those referrals is $210.00 for the month of FEB. I get that about every month and hardly do any offers myself. I found that many other sites pay out alot better per offer so I don't waste my time on TT filling out offers, I just take the commission from my referrals.

The reason why I get alot more commisson than the guy that posted this thread w/ only 10% as many referrals as him is because most of his referrals are probably inactive, and all of my 50 referrals are probably all active members earning money, which earns me money. My best month was last SEPT, I earned $350 just from my referrals. Alot of them are my friends, one friend earned himself $300. So I get 20% just from him alone which is $60 . That $60 is extremely good considering thats from "1" referral only, and the guy who started this thread has just $99 from a total of 600+ referrals. So as long as your referrals are doing alot of offers and are serious about it then you'll make alot of money. Its not about how may referrals you have, its about wether or not they do offers and are serious about making money. If I had the amount of referrals as the thread starter here has I'd expect $1500-$2000 in commission a month LOL.

The reason why alot of referrals might not participate is because once they join the site they don't realize there are plenty of FREE OFFERS to complete. They might click on a few links and see that they have to enter their credit card and then they X OUT the web browser and never return to the site. Thats why I e mail all of my referrals and tell them before hand to not let the offers that ask for payment to discourage you, and to allways click the option that lets you view "100% FREE OFFERS". You can earn around $200 just from those free offers. And once they do that, they usually come back each month spending the time doing them. Thats the catch though, all the people doing the offers are on their SPARE TIME away from work and usually don't want to waste their free time, so its hard getting them to stick w/ it.

Um, the "guy" that started this thread is TTMommy....

And I'm quite happy with my referrals, thank you. I've earned over $1100 in less than a year through a combination of offers and referral commissions. There's no one set formula that works for everybody.

It's worth noting that I've done almost nothing to get those referrals. With the exception of posting here, I don't promote, so whatever I receive from referrals is basically effortless--it's truly free money!

Bottom line: I don't compare my earnings--or where, exactly, they came from--to those of others. I'm more than satisfied with my income-to-expenditure-of-energy ratio, and I'm very comfortable with my personal approach to the program. Again, each member will have his/her own strategy and perspective, and what works for one may not be the best fit for another.

His/her referral ID# is in the 220,000s, and the 200,000th member joined just November 30 (I can document this via the TT forum), so that alleged $350 month in September simply didn't happen.

In fact, I have a referral with an ID# not too far past recoredingeng's who joined during the first week of February!

TT is a legitimate site with many satisfied members. "Promoting" the program by making dishonest claims and using inflated reports of earnings serves only to hurt those of us who are above-board and genuinely enthusiastic....

That is a great idea about contacting referrals to let them know about the 100% free offers. I just always figured they signed up because they weren't sure what it was all about, and then never bothered to really take a look. Thanks for the tip. Maybe that will help in the future.

I always contact any referrals who allow it. I email them with specific tips and encouragement, along with a link to a thread on the TT forum that lists offers that people have gotten approved each day since those have proven reliable. It also introduces them to the forum, which is a great place to get information and support, and I truly believe that members who use it have a much greater probability of being successful.

My referrals have earned me .55 so far - I contact all that will let me (I only have 13 referrals so far) & send them links to a couple of websites that have helpful tips on them!

LOL What are you talking about. I've been a member of TT longer than you have, I've been with them almost from the start. My TT link that I'm promoting in my SIG and on my website is my GF's TT account to get her referrals going. But yeah nice try investigating something you were in over head about before you even began to think. What are you on an interent investigator for GPT sites, stick to A&E's cold case files for now on.
