Reminder about the rules for Signature Lines!!

I know we recently changes the rules for Signatures Lines, we wanted to make it easier for members to know what they can and can't list in them, as well as coming up with an idea that would help prevent spam and make our members happy.

However, these still seems to be some slight confusion, so I wanted to make a reminder post, just to clarify and help clear it up for everyone.

You CAN post personal referrals in your signature lines! We feel that this will do away with the need for a lot of people wanting to spam or make multiple referral posts, this way your referral program information is at the bottom of every post you make. If someone wants to sign up they can do so, and if they don't they can just ignore it.

You CAN post images in your signature lines, or linked images!

You CANNOT post any offensive material! This includes anything of an insulting or derogatory nature, that might upset or offend other members or site guests.

You CANNOT post any competing sites! I realize it may be your personal site, but if the site lists deals, freebies, or anything of that ilk, then it is a COMPETING site and the link will be removed. This rule also applies to the Affiliate Spam and Merchant's Mouth forums. This is really just a common sense rule, who would want to go to all the time and expense of making a site, then let people post links to direct their members and/or customers away from their site, to another that provides similar or the same services?

Referral posts belong in the Affiliate Spam forum. It does not matter if you see that a different forum gets more traffic, so you think it will get more attention elsewhere, you may place them in the Affiliate Spam forum only, or the post will be deleted.

NO SPAM POSTS ARE ACCEPTABLE!! We provide two different forums for you to post your referral requests Affiliate Spam or your personal websites Merchant's Mouth to sell stuff. Please confine those types of posts to those forums only, or your posts will be deleted.

COMPETING SITES ARE NOT ALLOWED IN ANY FORUM!

The FOUND A FREEBIE FORUM is only for items that are totally FREE!
This means if it requires you to make a purchase, sign up for other offers or programs, or send something through the mail, it does not belong in the Freebie forum!

The ridiculous scam offers that require you to sign up for a dozen other things to get a computer, ipod, or whatever item or amount of money for free, are unacceptable posts in any forum and they will be removed. Most of these are scams, very few actually deliver on the promised item.

For help finding a deal on something, or a coupon to save money, please make your post in the Help Me Find a Deal forum. It is put there for just that reason. We do have members that love to help and they do read these posts and will find you a coupon or money saving offer if they can! There are also forums for Compliments and Complaints, Contests, Grocery and Brick&Mortar store coupons, and Rewards Programs. So you can easily place your post in the most relevant forum.

This helps us keep the boards a little less cluttered, which makes it easier for you to find what you are seeking!

Alcohol and Tobacco related posts are not acceptable anywhere! Neither is porn, or any related types of stuff. We are a Family Friendly site. To maintain our status as such, these posts, as well as swear words, are forbidden. Please refrain from posting such. We have a lot of great members who find such posts offensive and we also have some members who are minors and they do not deserve to be exposed to such drivel.

By reviewing the rules, especially new members, you save yourself and the mods a lot of time and trouble, and help keep our boards easy to navigate.
