| BEWARE the fine print on this offer. You only get PAID when each of your referrals have earned $25 in cash rebates. Your referrals will each have to spend $500 through 1800discounts to earn $25 at the 5% cash rebate. This is the text their customer service sent someone else who wondered why they hadn't gotten any money after referring more than 100 people. "Members YOU refer have to spend $500.00 to earn 5% cash back for 25.00. Add that to their initial 10.00 for signing up, and then you get your ten bucks. Also, YOU have to spend over 500.00 to get your own 10.00 back." You can't get your sign-up bonus on the basis of referrals only. This is really more like an affiliate program with a poor payback for the effort. I find the program advertising at the site deceptive. On the home page it says get $10 plus $10 for each referral. Then, on the page where you refer people, it still says you'll get $10 for each referral. Only if you click on the link for further details will you realize that you don't get paid until each referral accumulates $25 in cash rebates and that you must spend $500 through the site in order to get your initial $10 sign-up bonus. Sorry, but I found their advertising misleading and felt scammed. I clipped an article from one of my marketing magazines where the president of 1800discounts is quoted as saying "We want to provide as much value as we can to our consumers." In the article they even mention that "there is a $10 cash reward for any consumer who registers at the site. Once a consumer reaches $35 from the various cashback offers, the site will cut him a check." But I think on their site, how shall I put it, they did a good job of minimizing the terms of their offer and think many other programs offer more "value." |

| The post above makes a lot of sense. I'm gonna ask [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or

| Yeah, I did request them not to share my info. Meanwhile I think it makes sense to sign up, since they'll have to better their deal eventually to survive inb the cashback arena. "As per the policies outlined in the 1800discounts.com webpages, I hereby ask that your company not share any of my personal information, including but not limited to name, address, email address or telephone number with ANY other company/individual/affiliate without my express written/emailed consent. I also urge you to ensure that only authorised employees within your company should have access to my personal information". |

| I signed up for this a while back, but it's sounds less and less good all the time. I think people should pass. ------------------ [Only registered and activated users can see links.
