I do participate in several affiliate programs as well as survey sites & I do pretty well, if I do say so myself. It's certainly not a second income, but in about 1.5 years, I have made over $800. The biggest earners are Mypoints.com, MySurveys.com and Treasure Trooper...I would be happy to send you referral links for any of those if you're interested! Big Crumbs is great because you don't really need to DO anything, especially if your referrals do a lot of online shopping...if you shop online, then of course you earn even more!
