| I signed up to DealofDay.com through Blink.com. My hobbies are: watching professional baseball(A 'BIG' N.Y Yankee fan since 1964), football, basketball, chess. I am a low-keyed middle-age guy who just loves to enjoy life. I have been blessed up till 2 years ago. Since birth I have had cerebral palsy, but was one of the lucky ones. The doctors throught I would be a 'stuff' animal, but I proved them wrong. I went from not walking at all untill about 6 years old, to started walking without any special equipments when I was 10. Went on to be able to play most sports, of course not professionally. I played baseball, golf, basketball. Went on to get my B.S. degree in Computer sciences and math. An now am a computer techinal support/programmer for an large tool company in the midwest (grew am in my earlier years in upstate N.Y. But I got a bad break a few years ago when my cervical spine get really bad, and needed 2 neck operations (the second one was a 12 hour operation in which the doctors had to totally reconstructive my cervical spine and also bones fusion). I have yet to fully recover from that operation. I now need a walker to walk, and have terrible muscle spasms all over by upper back resulting in limited movement of my arms. I am doing lots of weights conditioning. The doctor hopes I will have some improvements as the nerves damage from the operation re-generates itself. Although there is no guarantee. I will differently will have more of a up hill battle this time around then in my earlier years with my Cerebal palsy. But I still consider my self 'lucky'. I still enjoy 'life', even though pain. As far as the best deal I ever had was all those wonderful people out there who donated money year after year to the Cerebral Palsy Telethon. If it was not for the money that was collected, I would not have had such wonderful people who helped me work through my earlier development of my life and beat the odds of living a 'normal' life as a cerebral palsy person.
