Thank you thank you thank you!! I got my shirt Thursday and I wore it Friday! I have to tell you what happened I was at the local grocery store (Brookshires) picking up a prescription for dh. There was a guy in the line behind me who tapped me on the shoulder and asked, "Where did you get that Paypal Tshirt?". I told him to check out BOTH DOD and Paypal - That DOD had a new member who was also with Paypal! (He was familiar with paypal - I guess he was ALSO an ebayer!)

Hi & welcome to DOD! I don't know how I missed this one before - my sole excuse is that the first week of school is always a madhouse around here!

I just wish that PayPal had some sort of option where you could accept credit card payments (and be charged on those) while leaving the balance transfer payments free of charge. Right now, I don't accept PayPal on my eBay auctions unless they're balance transfers because I really cannot afford those little charges each time.

Jeskibuff had the reason for trading here right - I'd much rather offer things to my friends first. Plus, with no listing & final value fees to add to MY costs, I can just pass the savings onto the people here.

And here's another cool way that we've used PayPal at our house - we had a fundraiser for our local battered person's shelter and we were able to collect the money that way from people who were from out of the area (and some that were in the area too). As the shelter is run entirely on donations, our fundraisers are very important in the budget process and I'm happy to say that we raised over $4000 last month - with almost $800 coming from online donations.

I recently got an e-mail, asking me if I wanted to participate in the PayPal Money Back Guarantee program. I read the information, but I'm still not clear on how that works. What is the cost to me, if any, and what happens when a customer wants to return an item? What are the stipulations around that?

Are you looking at it from a seller's perspective? If so, there is no cost to you.

Buyers are required to contact the seller first to work refund issues out. However, the buyer can file an MBG if they bought it to get a refund if they don't get anywhere. This comes out of PayPal's pockets.

A seller simply has to comply with Seller Protection (as has been the case for about two years).
