| I did have one question...kind of a curious question.. Why do you list items for sale here instead of on an auction site (such as eBay,etc.)? I am a little curious about why people do so, as the traffic for buyers would probably be lower. __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. | Damon, I never have, but I could think of several reasons: The time required to put together an eBay listing. (take picture, write text, etc). Look at some of the "FSOT" lists - it would take a lot of effort to list all the items on eBay. Avoiding eBay fees, especially for small items. It would be ridiculous to list a $.50 item on eBay to have them take $.30 before it even sells. Offering your goodies to friends first, and hawk the leftovers on eBay. __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. | No problem...here's another I thought of: If you have something that is VERY common, it will get lost in the sauce at eBay. I listed a little picture frame one time on eBay and it went through a whole week without a single bid. I wondered why, and found that there were THOUSANDS of frames available. I relisted it and sold it for a whopping $1.25, but it was a freebie anyway. eBay is best when selling less common items. If you're looking to BUY something common, that's where you'll get the good deal. __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. | Hi! I couldn't believe the number of replies to an intro thread! Welcome to Dod! This spring my husband was involved with a soccer tournament that used paypal for collecting entry fees. Not everyone used it, but overall it was an enormous success! ![]() |
