| I don't think I can speak for others but this is what I love about Advantix:
1. Every picture automatically comes back with the time/date, number, and film number printed on the back of each picture so I always know exactly which roll it came from. I know exactly which roll of film to grab out of my organizer when it comes to organizing or reprinting.
2. The negatives come back in the original film canister. This is especially nice for keeping the negatives in great condition. If you've ever handled 35mm negatives without protective sleeves, you know what I mean.
3. Depending on which model you have, it's possible to rewind film and put it back in later on. This is great because it allows me to give my sister a roll of film for her teenybopper shindigs, which won't get mixed up with my pictures (which is especially nice when it comes to organizing and getting reprints)
4. The film index is pretty good quality and reprinting is a breeze.
Also, it's true that it costs a bit more than 35mm but it prevents me from going crazy and taking 50 pictures when only 2 will develop well. Anyhow, it's possible to get 3 rolls (75 exposures or 90 if it's a bonus pack) of 200 speed film for under $7 at Wal-Mart or Ritz camera places.
Last, but not least, the film canisters are smaller, which make the cameras smaller. When I first got the Canon ELPH Lt, it was so small and light, it made it a breeze to carry on trips (and back when security was lax, into concerts).
All in all, I love APS and am willing to pay the small premium for the headache it saves me when it comes to storage and organization of photos.
