I swear that I will NEVER buy anything from Tigerdirect, ever again!
I bought a complete computer system from them, along with an INHOME work warranty that I paid some hefty dollars for. Every time I had problems with the system, which was plenty, they said that they wouldn't be able to get anyone out for a week or ten days and I could either shipl the system to them (!!!) or take it in to my nearest service center. (45 miles away) Shipping it to them would have made me without my system for at least three weeks. I'm no beginner at computers so I know that the problems were with their junky system, not the user. When I finally did take it in to the service center, they had to replace the fan and the cdrom drive. When the cdrom drive went out again and I took it back in, they said the fan was burned out again! (Tigerdirect sends the components to the service center to be installed.) Junk junk junk. After having it in repeatedly for various problems dealing with components, I told them that I wanted a new system because this one was a lemon. They said they can't do that and I had to ship it to them so they could diagnose the problem, and then they'd fix it and send it back. There was NO way that I could be without my system for any length of time. I was conducting business online and had to be accessible at all times. Basically they said, too bad then.
I despise Tigerdirect.
Oh yeah, and it turns out the the "good deal" that I got from them wasn't so good after all. I had ordered over the phone from the catalog, with certain upgrades that the sales person worked out with me. When the bill came it turned out to be way higher than he said it would be. But by the time I got the invoice, and called in and complained, guess what??? He no longer worked there!!! "Sorry ma'm. There's nothing we can do about a sales rep lying since he's no longer here."
They suck sooo bad they're just about putting Hoover out of business. Don't buy from them if you don't want an ongoing nightmare.
