Arrow USPS- free delivery confirmation with priority mail shipping

USPS- free delivery confirmation with priority mail shipping

I use this all of the time for my ebay packages that I send out. It saves 50 cents per package now. This was posted a long time ago, but the URL has changed, so update your bookmarks.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]

when you take the package to the post office, they should not charge you for delivery confirmation. they are not supposed to scan it when you ship. it is "scanned" when the label is created online. It should only physically be scanned when the item is received by the recipient.

Then you can track delivery confirmation here:

Thanks for posting this. I didn't know the Postal Service even offered this service. They have sure done a turn-around in the past few years. I ship almost all of my eBay packages Priority Mail and they haven't lost or damaged one yet. Screw UPS. They have become totally unreliable since they went on strike. I guess their employees are not pleased. Thanks again!

Thanks for this. I thought they ended this offer since I needed it 2 weeks ago and searched the whole USPS website. You saved me some money!

Whatever

This is for people who have accounts with USPS who were invited to use this service. That is why they changed the link to it, because too many people posted it to deal boards and it brought the site down everyday...Looks like they will have to change it again....bummer

Sorry, you are incorrect. ANYONE can get to this link Via [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]

Click Shipping, Ship, Priority Mail.... and you'll see the link right smack on the post office website.

Tuffy, I have to disagree (in more polite terms than yours). I've been using this feature for months, not through any "secret" link, but through clearly labeled buttons that are accessible to anyone using USPS site. The path is still there as of this writing (checked not 30 seconds ago).

If USPS intended it to be private, I'm not sure why they have it clearly posted on their Priority Mail page. I'd be sorry to see it go away, but there's no cause to castigate people who have been using a clearly posted feature.

No, its there. There is a neat little feature called a sidebar. Delivery confimation will also be an option for all mail services later in the year. Currently delivery confirmation is free with many online postage services. How do I know? Because I spend about 1000 a month with the USPS.

You don't have to be smart to navigate their site, you just need common sense.

Very well said. I also have been using it for months threw the shipping center. Not a link.

I like the way ryan put it. " You just have to know how to naviagate there site"

Wink USPS encouraged me 2 use this!!

I'm new 2 selling & have been standing in PO lines alg. w/my kids. Last visit they made me get out of line once I was at the window in order 2 fill-out a mailing label they'd handed me! They then told me abt. their site & suggested I use the services at their site! If they're telling me 2 use it, then the service should be 4 anyone!!

I emailed the USPS Customer Care Center Online and told them that my post office had no idea what was going on and this is the email I received back.

It is especially helpful that this customer service representative points out the page number in the Postal Bulletin in which the notice occurs (JULY!!)

Dear USPS Customer,

Thank you for contacting us. Since the online labels are a new feature, some USPS employees may not yet be familiar with the product. If this happens, please accept our apology, and point out the "e" endorsement on your label next to the Delivery Confirmation text. This "e" indicates that this item qualifies for our Electronic Option Delivery Confirmation. The retail associate should refer to our July 26th Postal Bulletin (page 17) for further information. Please note that regular Priority Mail rates still apply.

Please contact us again if you have any further questions.

Thank you for supporting the US Postal Service,

USPS Internet Customer Care Center
I've been using it since last year early October for my Ebay auctions...
My post office was one of those few that knew about it from the begining and never gave me a problem. Small town, only one postal employeee there at a time. Guess he has nothing better to do than read the Postal Bulletin.

Postal employee says it's free for me..
USPS Customer Care Center says it's free.. IN WRITING.
Sure sounds free to me.

But then again.. maybe there really are people who know better and EVERYONE else is wrong ..........................................

thanks for this! this is great for me!!!

and i doubt the post office is too proactive against deal columns pointing out things that are readily posted on their site.
