The National Parks Service gives "Golden Access Passes (For Free) to all Blind or Disabled Americans, This is a lifetime card..Good for admission to National Parks for entire family... 65 and over a lifetime card is available for you but a one time $10.00 processing fee applies.... Every other American ....$50.00 for a one year pass.... Disabled passes must be optained in person at a National Park Center... I have one of these cards and discovered that not only do you get into the National Parks for free but you also get to take their tours for free.... ie... we took the tour of the redwoods while in Yosemite and didnt have to pay a thing! Also, we discovered that with this card we were able to get a significant discount on camping in our local mountains! They are a national forest and the discount applies to camping in any national forest in the country! Its a great deal! and best of all its FREE! If you are disabled and camp or travel to places like Yosemite, you definately want to get this card! take care all! Karen |
