| Good Afternoon everyone! I am in need of some assistance! I am trying to find a free or very cheap deal on accounting software. Any ideas? Hubby is out of work, savings are $0, and we are "TRYING" to work from home. We are off and running, and now I need some accounting software. So any Shopping finds would be greatly appreciated. I have a $10 discount for "DOWNLOADABLE software ONLY" at Amazon.com plus another $15 off anything at amazon. Of course I dont have to purchase it at amazon. Free is always better! LOL Thank You VERY much! Tammy

| Staples was just (expired 2/16) running a big rebate deal on Peachtree Accounting, so there are lots of them on Ebay right now for pretty cheap (considering retail prices). Do a search for "peachtree accounting 2002." Some of the other auction sites (yahoo, bargain & haggle) should have listings too. That's a very sophisticated program, not sure if that's what you are looking for or if a "smaller" program will work for you. Have you looked at product reviews and decided what you really need? That might be a good first step for figuring out what is a "bargain." If all you need is money management software, I have some old Quicken versions (Deluxe 98, Basic 99) that I'd be happy to send you, just PM me a mailing address. Good luck! |

| Assuming you really need accounting software (new businesses can often just use simple spreadsheets and such), definitely go to ebay, where such software sells very cheaply. Don't pay retail prices. You dont need the "latest and greatest" software, so you can pay even less by getting the 2001 or 2000 versions. I have "netledger accounting pro" hanging around if you want it. Just PM me. You can have it for nothing. I'll check my pms in a couple of days, i'm excrutiatingly busy for a bit. |

| WOW You guys are the best!!!!! To answer a few questions: No, I dont need anything fancy. Just something simple to keep track of expenses, deductable stuff, etc so at the end of the year I'm not pulling my hair out trying to sort it all! Thanks Tammy |

| I'm self-employed and just use Quicken to keep track of invoices issued, payments received, and business-related expenses. Year-end, it prints out a report with everything grouped in categories from which my tax lady creates tax return. (I used to do my own taxes but she is WELL worth the $320.) As suggested above, you might want to look at software reviews/comparisons and identify a couple of programs that fit your needs. For example, here's how the various versions of Quicken stack up: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] I'm sure you will find this sort of comparison at other mfg's sites and perhaps a cross-section of different companies' offerings at cnet, zdnet, etc. (independent review sites). When you figure out what you need, ask and ye might just receive! |

| Go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or
