| Amazon has down throws for $7.44 reg $29.99
Amazon has down throws on sale for $7.44 marked down from $29.99. Just do a search for down throws. Also shipping rate is an error so if you call they will adjust it..Should be $2.99 plus .99 a pound. |

| Here's my phone call
I spoke with a very nice rep who informed me that it is 2.99 per throw plus .99 per pound. They weigh 1.5 pounds each. Each one ships individually. SO.... the shipping is 4.50 per throw! I even asked if there were any promo codes I could use to offset it and she looked for some... unfortunately none are available for Target as an affiliate through Amazon...... They can keep them at this shipping price...... |

No matter what the shipping, altho, the more u buy, IMHO, the less the shipping should be, this is a great deal, these throws go for almost 70.00 each..Its a great deal...... thanks so much to the OP....

| Ok I'm beginning to think that Amazon is really hitting the pipe! Here is how it was explained to me: The throw weighs 1.55 pounds which would equal= 1.98 (because as she said per pound or over. I.E. If it is 1.24 it would be considered 1 pound, 1.51 would be considered 2 pound by their system. Same rules as normal rounding up and down) then flat 3.99 pr shipment/per box= 3.99 So for one, the shipping should read= $5.97 Now going by what your rep told you it would be: 1.98 + 2.99= $4.97 BUT neither are reflected by the shopping cart (although it is closer to your estimate): Items: $7.44 Shipping & Handling: $4.57 Total Before Tax: $12.01 Estimated Tax*: $0.00 Order Total: $12.01 Now on my bigger order, that she pulled up and looked at, she said it was going to take two boxes, so it should have been: 3.99+3.99+9.90 (.99 cent per pound at 10 pounds) =17.88 BUT the cart didn't reflect that on her system or mine and I argued it. She said she had to go by what her system brought up. If we go by your rep it should have been: 2.99+2.99+9.90=15.88 And it sure didn't reflect that one on either system. So either they don't know what in the **** they are doing anymore, their system is screwed up or the CSRs have been told to just tell us anything. In any case, you don't feel that the shipping is too high, when you could (if they were still in stock) get the same items for 1/3 of what Amazon is charging? It isn't a deal if you have to pay double the clearance price to get it. Then it becomes retail and you can get that at a B&M without the hassle. I heard that Target B&M had plenty of these left for not muc more in both the fleece and down.

| Ok, I called again and spoke to not one, but two people (one was a CSR, really nice guy and one was a CSR specialist, another really nice guy) who said that it should break down like the chart below. If for any reason your shipping doesn't, call them and they will hand put in the order. This puzzled me so much and I didn't want to seem like a b**** to y'all that I called again! LOL! Anyway, they hand put in the order for 2 of the down throws and one of the Berber throws and charged me an even $7.00 for shipping. Now, he said technically these should be considered as housewares, thus being the 3.99, BUT the system is saying they are clothing and only charging the 2.99, then it is adding the .99 per pound, so the shipping should be around $8.93. They ship from the same distribution center and you should only be charged the 2.99 or the 3.99 once, depending on the CSR you get. Then they will add the .99 per pound and depending again on which rep you get, they will either charge you the full 2 pound per throw price, charge the actual 1.55 pound per throw price or 1 pound per throw price. I do think they gave it to me at the 1 pound price. So, if you have already ordered or want to, please call them! I also suppose it doesn't matter that they put these small things in HUGE boxes........which according to UPS is how they calculate prices....

Are they going to fix the glitch? On one hand many people are being overcharged (so Amazon makes money) and on the other hand they are losing sales due to the "glitch". Hmm Thanks to those getting to the bottom of this dilemma! |
