Exclamation Take note

Just want to point out that the unit is "reconditioned". It still seems to be an excellent deal.

Wink Found This At Overstock on factory-reconditioning

What is quality "factory-reconditioned" merchandise?

Factory-reconditioned merchandise refers to products that have been returned to the manufacturer for any of a number of reasons.

Anytime a retail store or consumer opens a product in a box and it is not purchased, it cannot be sold as new. The item is then shipped back to the manufacturer to be "reconditioned."
An item purchased by a consumer and returned for any reason--perhaps the product didn’t work or the consumer simply didn’t want it--whether it's the very next day or a month later, is sent back to the manufacturer to be "reconditioned."
Some items, called "scratch and dents" have been returned to the manufacturer with visible wear and tear. Overstock.com makes every effort to ensure that our "factory reconditioned" merchandise does not include "scratch and dents."
What does a manufacturer do to recondition products?

Once returned to the manufacturer, the entire item is completely checked to assure it meets ALL factory specifications, then is quality tested AGAIN! Each manufacturer has its own procedures; items that didn’t work are repaired, items that were returned after minimal use are cleaned and sanitized, items that were opened may be repackaged. All items are returned to like-new condition.

I’ve also seen the terms "refurbished" or "factory serviced" in some item descriptions. What’s the difference?

Various manufacturers use these slightly different terms, but any item listed on our site as "refurbished" or "factory serviced" meets the same factory-reconditioned standards listed above.

Is factory-reconditioned merchandise used?

Some merchandise may have been used for a very short period of time, some has not been used, but rest assured that all factory-reconditioned products have gone through two, or even three, quality checks to ensure that they are as good as new.

Do factory-reconditioned products come in different packaging?

By law, manufacturers are required to state on the packaging that an item has been factory reconditioned. Packaging and terminology differs slightly with each manufacturer. Some items will arrive in a regular retail box with a sticker indicating that it has been reconditioned, refurbished, or factory serviced. Some items may be repackaged in a plain brown or white box. Enclosed manuals may refer to accessories (e.g., camera cases or straps) that are not included with the reconditioned product.

What makes a factory-reconditioned item such an excellent purchase?

Factory reconditioned means high quality. In fact, factory-reconditioned goods have a very low return rate (2%) because they have been checked at least twice for proper working condition and quality.
The price you pay for a factory-reconditioned item is much lower than at retail.
Every factory-reconditioned item you purchase is covered by the Overstock.com guarantee. For more information about warranties, please read Help/FAQ.

This is great, our coffee pot just broke and I was going to buy one this weekend. This is way better than anyone I would've found in the stores I bet, at least for that price!

Question

I did a search on this and all it brought up for Cuisinart was a pots and pan set! Am I missing something here, or have they all sold out now? It sounded like it would have been a really nice addition to my church's kitchen... Their old 8-cup one was left on all week in November and hasn't worked right since, and the old party perk has surely seen it's better days! If anyone finds this one again or a deal like this, please let me know!!

Thanks!

JCrosby OP..

Target.com has a very nice Phillips coffee maker for just $9.94! 75% off. Item ##84373.
There is a 10% off code SORRY222 and if your church can use 5 of them you can get free shipping with PUPYLUV2 for purchases over $50.00.. hmmm.. throw in a clearance box of chocolates for your trouble to kick it over $50.00.
This isn't quite as nice at the Cuisinart... but it's a great deal!

Thanks Lady Crimson, I had bought a reconditioned Krups coffeemaker about 6 years ago and it still works but we have to hit the on button a few times, I looked at ones just like these(and almost bought it for $79), BTW Amazon has these reconditioned for $14.99, not as good a deal but just in case you had your heart set on this brand.

Smile

Oh, cool, bradedit! Thanx!! It just so happens I still have a $25 gc for Amazon from when I signed up with AT&T online!! Now, if I can just find something to make it worth my time with the other few dollars left!! Does anybody know if there's a free shipping code right now?

(Thanks to autumn96 too, but I'm thinking the bigger the coffee maker, the better [the Phillips is a 10-cup], but we wouldn't use more than one...)

Free shipping orders over $99 (you get a popup describing this deal at Amazon) or $5 off a $35 purchase in ANY department with coupon code: MAPVEREWARDS. that should help offset shipping. i used it this morning & it worked.
