This could be a great deal for you!

If you are not familiar with [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] it is a rebate type program like ebates except the money is put into an account for your child's (or your grandchild or to whoever you want) college education. You can make purchases at listed merchants to earn the cash.

You can also register your credit card and whenever you make a purchase at their participating merchants you will automatically get a rebate! BTW, restaurants give 10% back!

Another program they have is for real estate transactions. If you contact a participating real estate office through the website, you can earn .5% of the sale or purchase of a home! (up to $3000) I'm talking about $$$ you would never see otherwise!! Even if it only pays for books (which can be very expensive) it would be better than nothing!

Please check the website to see if there is an office nearby that participates.

Can I offer one more suggestion similar to yours? I think it may be better (not trying to outdo you though, sorry).....

Jeffebates.... great program.... you send your money to a special address in a particular town (usually a harassed town) when you want to purchase a home, it collects interest until you actually make the purchase.. and when you are ready... you request the money back from a broker "at a sushi bar near you"

i.e., the money goes to one location.. and sushi has to come up with it from his end when it's time for you to recoup your investment.

I have been making a habit to buy some gift certificates every time I am at McDonald's too. After you buy them, you go to upromise.com, enter the number on the book of certificates and 3% goes into your account. Not alot of money but it could be if you eat there alot!
