My girls got American Girls dolls when they were really young (they are 19 and 21 now). They have Samantha and Molly. At that time, there were only three dolls. Kirsten was the other one. They played with those dolls sooooooo much. They had a lot of the accessories, and they took such good care of them that the only thing that ever got lost was the carrot from Molly's lunch. And I know that thing will turn up someday................
About a year ago, my youngest and I were shopping in Chicago, and I wanted to take her to American Girl Place. She thought she was too old to go there, but I could see it in her face that she was loving every minute of it! I think she secretly wished she was five years old again!
I had fun looking through this site, and maybe I'll just have to pick up Samantha's bathing costume, since it's being retired. That wasn't even offered when my girls were playing with their dolls.
These are just the most wonderful dolls and will be passed down through the generations.
