These are **not** just free lenses. Please read the fine print, they do not include your professional fees. You can not walk in, get your free lenses & leave. Please keep in mind contact lenses are medical devises and require a perscription from an Eye Care Professional. The fine print also states the certificate is not valid for current wears of the Acuvue family of contact lenses, you will need to have a fitting exam in order to get your perscription for the lenses.

It depends on your situation. Since I have had an eye exam within the year, I do not have to pay to have an extra exam. My doctor will give me the contacts free of charge. If you don't regularly see an eye doctor, then you will probably have to pay for an exam.

Contact brands aren't necessarily interchangable without an exam. You can sort of compare contacts to blue jeans (I know sounds silly but follow me here for a minute...) You may wear size 8 in Guess jeans but the exact same size for Levi's jeans may be too big or too small, may not fit your curves just the right way, give you a saggy butt, etc. Contact lenses have different diameters & base curves. You may be able to get the same base curve for a lens in a different brand but the diameter may not be the same or vise versa thus causing the contact to not sit on your eye the right way or be too loose and possibly fall out with a slight rubbing on your eye. Also depending on the curvature of the lens the perscription might not always exactly be the same brand to brand. A good doctor caring about your eye health would not just change your lenses without a fitting exam. Please dont get me wrong here, I am not faulting the post, just trying to pass on some good information.....
