I tried to run a comparision of machines in the same price range:

Strangely, got "na" for most parameters with the Compac.
Is this model "old" or about to be phased out? I do wonder what's the reason.

saw the post, ran to Staples to check out the compaq machine. It's very light weight. But the specs are similar to others. Quite fast for a cheapo and resolutions are 2400x1200...not bad.

If it is not out on their sales floor, ask for it. If they have no clue as to what you are talking about, ask them to look it up in their inventory and check that store as well as other stores near by. They may hold back since it IS in the sales ad for next week.....unless the sale is regional. It is a new item for them. No rebates, no instant savings, just straight sale price of $99.98 starting Sunday. Today for $199.98.

like xpdeal said don't bother driving to all those stores unless you know its in stock. ONE of the managers at my local store is always happy to look up the computerized inventory of the area stores for me as long as the staples isn't packed. just give them the sku # and don't waste all that gas.

You can confirm them too. Just look up the item @ Staples.com. MOST (not all) of the rebates start Thursday. No rebate on the compaq. It's a straight sale. Get it now before they run out Sunday afternoon. Some of the local stores around mine only has a couple.

how much more specific can xpdeal be? are you looking for the rebates on ALL the items or a specific one? maybe you need to be more specific?

the compaq machine has no rebates.

the cd-rw/speakers deal rebate can be found by going to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and searching for sku# 44****

the cdr-s can't find exact link right now, but i think its a manufacturer rebate and not staples? just go to google.com and search for "hi-tech 100" or "hi-tech staples" i believe. i did it a couple days ago when i was trying to find that rebate for takkie for the 50 pack.

the scanner rebate can be found by going to the above link and searching for sku# 462626 or for "memorex'

the webcams rebates aren't on there right now and neither is the accpac pro.

next time try to utilize staplesrebates.com. its very easy to navigate there.

I already got the All in One... I just wanted clarification on the Hi Tech Rebate.... if it is the same ongoing Manufactuer rebate.... the deal is dead, cuz most of us already have purchased them last week. If the Hi Tech rebate is a Staples rebate, that would be super cool....MORE FREE CDRS

i think its the same rebate, because that rebate form had the pre-thanksgiving week and next week's dates on it for the 100 pack rebate for hi-tech.

i have 2 memorex scanners from staples for free too. last i checked, one of the staples here still had about 40 of those suckers.

I believe HiTec is manufacturer, not Staples. If you miss it coming week, check next week for the 50pk much like last week.
