Question GiftCertificates.com Question

RE: deal to buy $100 worth of GC's and get a free $25 superGC
www.giftcertificates.com

If you get physical gift certificates, how much does this whole deal cost you?

For example if I get $100 worth of restaurant GC's and the free $25 super certificate, how much will I have to pay? It looks like there is shipping AND handling plus if I redeem the supercertificate will I have to pay S&H for that physical certificate?

Thanks.

There is no shipping and handling if you have the SuperCertificate emailed to you rather than by snail mail.

When you redeem the SuperCertificate, again you do not get charged postage even though the GiftCertificates come by snail mail. (That is so the person you give the SuperCertificate to does not have to pay postage. If you give a gift of a Supercertificate to someone, you do not want them to have to pay postage on your gift.)

However, if you order a SuperCertificate and have it physically mailed to you, they charge postage.

And if you order a regular gift certificate, without going the SuperCertificate route, they charge postage.

So... the best way is to buy an EMAILABLE SuperCertificate, and cash that in for a regular gift certificate. If you do that, there is no postage at all either time.

I'm not sure how they are working this particular deal, but I think it should be like they have always done it. Don't buy 100 dollars worth of gift certificates, buy an emailable SuperCertificate, if that is possible.

Yep, that's what I did and it works great. I sent myself an e-mailable $100 supercert., then was awarded the free $25 one which I then cashed in for an Amazon gift cert. The $100 one I haven't bought certs with yet but there will be no shipping and handling when I redeem that supercert.

Question Do you need 2 email addresses?

When you buy a Supercertificate, can you mail it to the same email account that you are using to buy it, or do you have to mail it to a different account?

Also, when you redeem a supercertificate can you redeem it for more than 1 emailable certificates (I notice you can only buy directly one email certificate at a time now...)

Thanks!

Baffled

Just my luck, they UNDERcharge some people but OVERcharge me! This is what my conformation e-mail said--

Items ordered:
1 $50.00 Amazon - Digital ($50)

Item subtotal: $50.00
Shipping/Service Fees: $0.00
----------
Subtotal: $50.00
Misc Deduction: -$-10.00

----------
TOTAL: $60.00

I hope I don't have to call them. I haven't seen my statement yet.

Question Giftcertificates.com question

Thanks for your post. I went to purchase the $100 deal and chose the emailable supercertificates. When I got to check out, it showed I was going to be charged a service fee of $1.95 for each of the 4 supercertificates I was ordering. How is it that some of you are showing no service fee charges for your orders? Can anyone help?

it's because you go through the business section to get that promotion and i don't know why they have to charge a service fee of $1.95 for business people. I tried to go thru the normal way (non-business) and when I put in the code it did not recognize it. So I guess we have to pay $1.95 to get $25, not bad!

don't know how it happened. if i did, i would share. the onsite bill was 40, the credit card charge was 30.
