I have this card, but I did not get the bonus 20 gc. This is the best rewards card I have ever had. You can redeem your points online and get your gc instantly and you can pay your bill online. The points you earn are worth 2% of your puchases, 6% at amazon. Two percent is the best you can get, most cards offering only 1% or even less.

I too only use this card. I did not get the $20 bonus GC but in the 4 months I've had the card I have earned over $300 in GC's! Whoo hoo...there's Xmas all paid for. My interest is 9.9% but I pay off every month. We put everything on it and then just pay it off. They lose money on us bigtime

Really. I have cancelled all my other cards except Discover (which I hate-BAD customer service) but it's the only card Sam's will take. Cancel your other cards (or call and ask them to lower your credit limit). You don't get bad credit from not using a card, your credit can look bad if you have a lot of cards that each have a high credit limit on them. You just need to decide what works best for you. If you carry a balance, this may not be the best card for you. I just got an invite from Bank of America for 0% interest til next summer but I passed it up since it really doesn't matter to me. You can always apply for the card, get the $20 and cancel it in a couple months. According to my financial planner, you should not have more than 5 credit cards, this includes gas and dept. store cards. A lower credit limit is a plus too when you are applying for a loan or something. It makes you less of a risk. Good luck in deciding... |
