Wanna really put those Office Depot coupons to work?

Cut and paste of Maverick319's post @at.

"Then get yourself to your local OD B&M and pick up a Office Depot "BIG BOOK." catalog

The website is woefully lousy at bringing up all the items OD sells, which is really stupid since you can accomplish this with a product number from the Big Book or a SKU number off of the shelf.

The main difference is if you search with a SKU, you activate the Ask Jeeves crap about "Where can I find SKU xxx-xxx"

If you enter the product number from the catalog, it will take you directly to the item you want, and then you can check local availability/stock.

If you don't believe me, go to OfficeDepot.com and search for item number 209-368-111

Voila, 30gb Maxtor.

Looks like you can request a Big Book online, get one by calling 1-888-463-3768 or just pick one up B&M. Apparently the new one just came out last Friday, so you might have to ask if you go in.

I wanted a cordless keyboard, but didn't want to spend 40 bucks on the iTouch when I didn't need all those buttons. I have a MS Internet Pro KB and never used all the buttons, and the Cordless Keyboard/Mouse combo with rebate was out of stock in my area, so I figured I was SOL on the 20.00 off coupon.

So I got in my car, found the SKU on the Cordless Keyboard for $39.99, went home and plugged the SKU in online and was able to order the Keyboard. The website did not previously come up with this keyboard as an option. I then added a Dexxa Notebook mouse and some erasers to the order, selected instore pick-up and walked out of OD the next day for $32.00 and change after tax.

What OD did is move all the high traffic (and desirable items) to their Techdepot.com site, and populate the OD site with generic stuff you might pick up for work. With a little luck and a Big Book, you can search down the things you want, apply whatever coupons you have and still get good stuff from OD.

Ok, even with a cordless keyboard I am tired of typing, so to quote Stan Lee, "Nuff Said." Oh yeah, also my 0.02. Mav [ "

not sure if the $20 off $50 are still valid.
might be $20 off $75 out there.
but there are $30 off $100,
also, 20 % off $50 or more (good for more expensive stuff)

let me look.
