Shocked For a cheap lunch head to Sam's Club!

At the snack counter you can buy a piece of pizza and a pop for $2.25! That isn't all. The piece of pizza is 1/4 pizza...HUGE...and the pop is a 32 oz cup...again, HUGE. They will cut the piece in half and even offered an extra plate. Get 2 straws, and your lunch for 2 costs $1.13 each! The pizza I had today was chicken pesto, but they also have the usual.

Other items are offered like sandwiches. The menu is small, but very cheap! Try it out!

Oh, I thought you were talking about the free samples of food. DD and I love to go from vendor to vendor trying their samples. If you plan the aisles right you can get a 4 course meal--lol.

The one by us does not have pizza but they have those huge, yummy hot dogs for $1.50 including a soda!! My dh and I purposely plan our trip to Sam's around lunchtime on the weekend sometimes!

Brendabutt-
HA! I never even thought of that! LOL We do the sample rounds, too. I just got to thinking that if you worked near a Sam's Cub, you could eat there cheaper than at a fast food place. I guess if you went for the samples and a $.69 coke it would be cheaper yet! Or skip the Coke and hit the drinking fountain!

(BTW, ours has chicken sandwiches and subs, too.)

cata5--I like your way of thinking. Would have to splurge on the $.69 coke though---can't live without at least 10 a day.

Just had to share this with you all. I am such a "freebie" hunter that my kids friends always tell them that when they get married that the wedding will probably cost $19.95--since I will search for the bargains. Daughters always tease be that if they were giving away dog food--which we don't have a dog--that I would probably take the dog food. Well, youngest dd and I were in Sam's and walked down an aisle and low and behold they were giving out dog food samples. I got mine and made her get one too. Thought I would wet my pants from laughing so hard. But my Mom has a dog, so the samples didn't go to waste.

I work part time, so when I'm home and the kids are getting restless, we'll head over to Costco. My girls love the carts because they both get to sit in front and we'll pick up a few items and hit the samples ("treats"). My girls love doing this! They look at it as a special outing plus they're trying foods they probably wouldn't try otherwise. We'll soon be moving closer to a Sam's Club, so we'll have to try theirs!

Here's a good laugh..

Here's another laugh for everyone...

There is a Sam's club near my employer....and there are a bunch of really cheap guys who work there, so twice a week usually Tues and Thurs, they hit Sam's club for a sample lunch... These guys have no shame, they will just keep getting samples until they are full..they don't shop, no purchases made ...just some fine eating... and they usually get sips of water out of the water fountain so there is absolutely no cost. They are even going on a company purchased membership !! LOL ~!!

Rolling eyes

I wish our Sam's club would expand their snack counter. Ours is only open half the time and when it is they only have the hotdogs (though they are very good). My Sam's charges $2.02 for a hotdog and soda.
