Thank you so much! I purchased a $50 one and had it e-mailed to me to save, in anticipation of either Christmas gift buying or turning it into the actual card gift certificates to give to those hard-to-buy-for folks! That way I also avoid the postage/handling charge!

could someone explain how the e-mailing it to yourself saves on shipping? I guess they don't charge for that but what about when you turn it in for ac actual store cert. don't you get hcarged then? Oh! I'm so confused!

Answer: they don't charge you when you redeem the supercertificate either.

Consider this... a supercertificate is purchased by me as a gift to my mom or something. They wouldn't charge the receiver (my mom) of the Supercertificate for postage or had better not!!! Otherwise, I wouldn't buy it for my mom....

But... they might charge me postage as just a cost of buying the certificate for my mom. So... if my mom is a computer friendly person and can get emails.. i don't have to pay for even that postage.

Get it?

So.... the best way is to buy a supercertificate and use the email option (no postage) and then redeem it (no postage even tho they might send you the certificate by mail) that way you get 10 off 50 with no additional cost. And... to top it off.. you can send it to yourself, the email address you bought it with. A very easy 20 percent off of the select stores. I personally like to use them at Bombay B&M... if Bombay has a deal in the store... I can add this to their deal because it is used as cash. They even give you money back up to 10 dollars in change. So.. if i buy something for 40 dollars, there is an effective 25 percent off, plus whatever percent off they have in the store on the special. I get some great deals....

First, thanks for the post! Believe it or not, I have never used these before and now realize I've been missing out! I sent a supercertificate to myself and will order a gc for a particular store where I wanted to buy a rather expensive sweater. This will help! So, if I order a paper certificate, I won't have to pay shipping????
How often do you find a coupon?
Is it one time use?

Yep. I tried to use this and it turns out it was the same code I used about a month ago so I couldn't use it again.

Is the "free shipping" applicable only to the Supercertificates or does it apply to their regular gift certificates too?

Also, if the Supercertificate is emailed to the recipient, how does that person redeem it? Do they print it out and take it to the restaurant or store?

To clear up your confusion...
You purchase a SuperCert. and have it emailed to yourself (no shipping fee for that). Yes, the only way to avoid no shipping fees is to buy a supercertificate.
Then, you go back to GiftCertificate.com and purchase whatever actual GC you want (using the code that was emailed to you for your SuperCert).
They will not charge you shipping when redeeming a SuperCertificate, and if the store/restaraunt uses paper certificates, that is what will be mailed to you. (for free)

For example. I bought a $50 Supercertificate using the 10 off code, so was only charged $40. It was emailed to me within minutes. I then went back and purchased a $50 Gift Certificate to Red Lobster and used my Supercertificate, so it cost me nothing at that time, plus they shipped the credit card type gift cert. to my snail mail address.

Also, I went through ebates and got % back too. I forget how much.

Hope this helps!

Question. If you are a first time customer, does it take awhile to get your email with the supercertificate? (because I haven't received mine yet)
