The elibrium stuff tends to be junk. when amazon has "free after rebate" stuff, it often tends to be items that are clogging amazon's warehouses...for good reason. The Ulead isn't a bad graphics editor, and the virus scan is good if you need it. The other stuff...well...get it if you feel its worth the hassle of a rebate. I'm getting a jamit (plus one software to qualify for a coupon), but i'm being cautious otherwise. Its not necessarily a good economy to have a bunch of $ hanging out in "future rebate checks" from some of these companies...

I agree about a lot of the stuff being junk. The VirusScan deal is a good one though (and it's the only one that I took advantage of). It's actually a pre-release so it's certainly not clogging their warehouses yet. There's a lot of viruses out there doing a lot of damage there, and if someone isn't already using some antivirus software, they ought to start immediately (to help themselves and to help the others that they're sure to spread the viruses to).
