So I assume that you were satisfied enough with the toy to purchase another one..I was reading the reviews on it at Amazon and they seem to be both negative and positive...Can you get it to say the child's name and also sing the "I love You" song with one programming??

Actually I got it for my nephew, but his parents have been happy with it. The second one if for my kids, can't beat $1. I could probably sell it at ebay for more than that.

I also have another toy (the KB Gear SkidDoodle) that I have seen many people complain about and say that they can't get it to work. My son just loves his, and I had no problem installing it. Sometimes I think most of the unhappy reveiws at Amazon is nothing but "operator error!" LOL

They must have changed the pricing --- I see it listed at $11.00, but with the free shipping, that's a great deal.

It doesn't give the age range, though. Does anyone know what the recommended age for this toy is???

Ttupilss - Sorry, I didn't mean to mislead anyone. The correct price is $11, I only got for $1 because I used the $10 GC that I received for DOD and Ebates!

PS ~ The recommeded age range is 2 and up.

I got this free thru the Luvs rewards program a while back. The biggest disappointment to me was that it only does ONE song at a time. You download it to Barney and that is the only song he will sing every time your child plays with it until you change it. I would not have paid $50 for the thing but at $11 it's a pretty good deal! My 2-year old gets the biggest kick out of Barney saying his name! He always says "Hello, (child's name)" whenever he starts up, then goes on to sing whatever song or game you downloaded.

Thanks for the info! He is pretty cute, but what a bummer that he will only play one song or game until you download another. I know little kids like repetition, but they also need a little variety! This makes me rethink my decision to purchase it as I can just imagine my 2-yr old dd asking us every 5-10 minutes to "please see more song."
