FYI: Anyone in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area: There is a Fiesta Outlet in Canton Texas. I believe they are open everyday, but I have only gone during the First Monday Flea Market. The prices are amazing, and the Fiesta is in great condition. (maybe a tiny bit of missing glaze on the bottom or side, or maybe a tiny bubble in the glaze) The store is nice and the owners seem to really care about their customers. The Fiesta Outlet is located outside the First Monday Flea Market, across from City Hall. |

I am DYING for more dinner plates, veggie bowl and large platters!!!!! (prefer tourqouis) I called them to see if I can order some and have them shipped to me and they said "NO, you have to come to the plant"-this makes me ILL... I want some of those! I had these on my bridal registry and NO ONE bought them for me now I am trying to get them on my own... any ideas? I am in Austin, Texas but the Canton, Texas location is VERY far from me. |

I'm tempted to organize a field trip!!! If any of you Fiesta lovers have a Macy's around you, always check their clearance tables in the Cellar. I've found some of the best deals there. Just a couple of weeks ago I got some of the platters (the ones that look like a large dinner plate but have handles on either side) and some of the large pasta bowls - I think regular prices were $20 on each. They were marked down to $2.99 - they there was a sign on the table that said "Take an additional 50% off" so they were $1.50 each. A couple of years ago (in June) at a different Macys, I found about 20 of the Christmas ornaments (some of the persimmon plates with the dancing girls, and some of the white plates with the holly berries) marked down to about a buck each. I gave them to all my fiesta friends, then sold the rest for about $15 each on ebay.

The plant won't ship second quality merchandise, but they will ship first quality. Usually their prices on first quality are still much lower than sale prices in stores. The only Homer Laughlin plant is in WV, so I bet the outlet in Texas goes to the sale for their wares. I've seen dealers with whole vans full. |

Is this an annual sale? If so, it might be worth my time to schedule a trip to that area next year... When I lived in NYC, my friend and I flew into Columbus OH specifically for a JCrew factory sale -- our RT tickets were only $89. We each brought two empty carry-on bags and took them home jammed full of JCrew stuff. I saved about $300 on my purchases - well worth the $89 flight. Flew home that night. Talk about feeling like a jet setter! |

They have them twice a year. One in June and one in the Fall, like October or early November. Watch their website, they make an announcement. [Only registered and activated users can see links. I'm lucky though, my husband's parents live half an hour from the outlet, so we have somewhere to stay. If you go, make sure to get there early, there always a line. |
