Can't Wait?

Lookingahead, I mean absolutely no disrespect, but I have to say if you "can't wait", don't go for the free or 15 cents after rebate items.

Staples is horrible with rebates! I have been through so much with them. I wish you luck.

I have to TOTALLY agree!
I use the $$ off codes but I'll NEVER again use a rebate at Staples. Not the .com or the B&M. They are a nightmare to get your rebate from. They always manage to find some excuse to try to keep from giving it to you and it turns out to be a big hassle if you do eventually get it.
Just my 2Cents worth.

I am sorry to hear the experiences all of you have had. My local Staples here in Columbia has the rebate forms right next ot the product and if they don't they will print out the form online for you. I submitted my rebates from the last sale online. I will see how long it take to recieve them.

Thumbs up staples rebates

I have been using staples rebates for a couple of years and always received my rebate, I rarely have to follow up with them.

I have been doing Staples rebates a year.
Painless..I used to send the rebates and forget about it till the check came.. but not now.. now it is work, sort of like pulling teeth.

The rebates from this spring are dribbeling in after a lot phone calling.. sheesh...it has turned into a job.

I have a Feb $80 rebate that was Marked valid March 3rd.. never got the check..I call and they say we'll issue it..never comes..I cqll..they'll issue it.. over and over and over again..still no check. Same story with a $30 one.

I sent one for $49.99 but never got a tracking number..called was told to re-call after 6 weeks..I re-called was told to re-submit cuz they never got it.. I re-submitted last week.. Got the check yesterday but not from Staples instead direct from the manufacturer..yet I am positive (because I made copiesof the envelope with the address) I had mailed and re-mailed the rebate to Staples in Coppel TX!!
Weirdness here.

I got a half a dozen I am tracking that look OK when I check them.. but lately looks are decieveing.

I haven't had trouble with the rebates, it took longer than I expected but by their 10-15 business day policy I guess it was on time !! The rebaet was for $80 from a monitor I bought from them...after the coupon and rebate I paid less than $70 for a 17" monitor !!

Angry

Staples ripped me off big time!! I had ordered the Memorex CD for my PC. Sent in all the required forms. They snail-mail me and tell me that I did not send the right proof of purchase. Oh yes I did!!!
They said to resend. But I can't, because they insisted on the original POP. So I am out the entire rebate. I tried to explain this to their CS and basically got a "Sorry Charlie" on it. I hate them and will never do another rebate with them again.

Yes, I got the Envision monitor one from this spring.. thats the monitor i am using right now and the check for that one did arrive. but I have a tremendous amount of rebates "in the works" so to speak.

Oh, LadyCrimson, you can re-submitt a rebate you sent that they say did not reach them.. you have to send your photocopies of all the originals to address
for Re- submissions... It is a different address and special dept for re-submission that never reached them when you sent it the first time. and the re-submission is of course copies of the original and the dateing on your stuff will be OK as long as the copies fit the correct dates. . Call them back and ask them about it. They told me that when the $49.99 one I mentioned above, never got to them via snail mail. I am probably saying this in an awkward manner but..call them back..explain and ask about the re-submissions dept where you can re-submitt the copies of the originals that the mail man lost..they will give you a new address and transaction number to use for it.

Exclamation Resubmission

How long has it been since you got the "sorry Charlie" stuff from Staples?
Did you keep the postcard and all theysent you? How about any emails?

I had problems, so I took the scanner back to the store where I'd purchased it, along with my postcards and copies of the emails and the pages that said my rebates had been invalidated. The general manager was there and asked me did I want to keep the scanner, I said not if I didn't get my $60 rebate. He said no problem. He took it as a return for the purchase price of $69.94 and then sold it back to me for $9.94, which is where I would have been had I received my rebate. He also said "they've screwed you around enough".

Try that.

You mean did I get a sorry "Charlie" on the thing the re-submisson on.
NO. I started calling because they never sent a tracking number on it at all. When I called They said they had not sent the tracking number because they never got any submission.. therefore the snail mail post man must have lost it before it go to staples. So they let me send all my copies of it to the re-submission dept.

I have so many rebates out to them..I make regular checks on the outstanding ones.

Normally, if all goes well it is ohhhh around 2 months from the date I submitt a rebate until the day the check arrives.

Oh..if they said they got everything except one certain thing..then you don't re-submit.. but rather you just fax them a copy of the original and be sure to write your name address and the TRACKING number on t he FAX and all that. If you call the rebate center they do tell you you can fax the original... which is uuummm well you know they are gonna get a faxed piece of paper not the actual thing but rather a fax of it.

Cool I have done rebates for a year from staples.

So far. I have not had any problems with staples. I email and call and complain so much, I get gift certificates from them. I always print out the rebate forms, prior to my purchase. I always make copies of the rebate forms and the upc codes. If I have any questions, I call them. Ask to speak to the supervisor.
One of the parcels, I received Tuesday, did not have a packing slip. I called the rebate center and was told to use my email confirmation instead. Complain. Complain.
