ANOTHER $15 off/no minimum at Eddie Bauer (store/catalog only)

Got a postcard from EB with this offer which EXPIRES MAY 21, not good for online orders. $15 off any purchase at regular store (not Home or Outlet) or catalog order, no minimum purchase. At store, use Ad Code 3467 -- Catalog Code 6029515. The 800 operator said my credit card would be charged for the order but then I'll receive a $15 credit on the same card.

This is same idea (different codes) as earlier offer which expired 6/30. That thread said that if the store won't honor the offer w/out actual postcard, you can call their catalog center from store and s/h is discounted from what you pay when you call from home. I purchased two pairs of sandals on sale for $7.99 each, s/h $4.95 (from home).

I also received this in the mail and I spent it on a regularly priced $48 dress which was on sale for $20. With my discount I paid about 6 dollars.
This code isn't meant to be passed around. I don't know if it'd work anyway, but even if it did you shouldn't abuse it. Besides, who wants to hastle with the possibility of canceled orders, or being charged in full.

Teraberry, I don't consider this to be "abuse." I am very much against taking advantage, especially when smaller companies get overwhelmed by people trying to get something for nothing. However, the postcard from EB is obviously a mass-printed item sent to everyone who gets their snail-mail catalog. I don't consider myself a major EB customer, haven't bought anything from them in a year or more. I don't see the harm in passing the info to people who may have opted not to kill all the trees that these catalogs represent... no offense meant and, I hope, none taken on either side of this discussion.

I tried to use the first code listed in this thread. I called in and said that I had a code for $15 off. She asked me for the number so I told her the catalog code. Then she said that wasn't it, so I gave her the ad code listed, and she told me I had to read the certificate number.

I'm confused, what do I tell the CS I have to get this deal?

If you look at the postcard, it is only too obvious that the code is for a mass (NOT consumer-specific) promotion. So, just enjoy it and tell friends.
Two such codes released over 3 wks= EB is trying to clear out its old inventory.

Since I used my coupon postcard I don't have it, but I thought it said something about "one per customer" or something similar, and therefore it would be wrong to do otherwise, but I could be remembering wrongly too.

On the phone, ordering from the catalog, I gave code 6029515. I think the shorter code is what they key in when you purchase in-person at B&M. My phone operator had no question about the code, promotion, etc. -- knew just what was going on.

Hi, I just got a catalog today...they had sandals for $7.99. I ordered them awhile ago for my hubby but I wear them more than he does !!! They are the thong type but soooo comfy !! This code will help me get two pairs in different colors !!! Thanks !!!!!!


BTW...We have an Eddie Bauer at the mall.....Do I just tell them the code when I check out?? Don't they need some kind of proof?? Plus why didn't I get a code in the mail?? I have a CC and buy all the time from them both online and at the B&M????
