My sincerest thanks for posting this!!! Because of your post, I was able to put together a package deal for a mini-vacation as a surprise anniversary present for my husband!! I NEVER would have considered it were it not for your post. THANKS AGAIN AND AGAIN!!!!

I took Amtrak from Atlanta to Phoenix. It was great! Staff is friendly and helpful, food in the dining car is great. and I'm convinced the best folks take a train. If you are on a train, you aren't in a hurry so everyone has time to do whatever they please and meet the most interesting people. Anyone out there whose thought about doing this and never got around to it.....DO IT!
