I have 3 $25 BIDZ.com Gift Certificates to give away. This is an auction site and once you register, they will put $25 in your account. As far as I know, you can bid on anything but I don't think you can use a GC to cover shipping. You can also earn up to $100 MORE by refering your friends. Just eamil me at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and I'll send it to you. I think these are only good for New Registrants. I'm new to Bidz.com so I don't know all the INS and OUTS yet.

If you go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or
Register Now] and click on bidz.com you will find a $50gc. I just got my first purchase the other day though and I am VERY unhappy. I bid on a 14k gold id bracelet that was said to have a retail value of $450. It looked great in the picture and I ordered it for my son'd birthday. Shipping was very slow. I won the auction on 3-16 and I it arrived on 3-26. I wanted to have it engraved but the name plate is bent and pock marked. It is so cheap looking too and marked all over! I had to rush to town - which is miles away and the only store is Walmart anyway - and get another gift. Now I am hasseling with them about returning it. I am out the high shipping even ir they take it back and maybe a 10% restocking fee. I am waiting to even hear from them about the return and I wrote them early yeaterday. My son will be happy with his new gift and doesn't even know - but I am VERY upset let me tell you. I also told them I was going to post about my problems with them if they did not refund all the money and the gc. Since they have not even answered me, I guess I am making good on that threat now. Also you can NOT use the gc on international items. You can not stack gc's and you can't use more than two per household per month. Shop with care here please! I will repost if they come through with what I asked them to do. [Edited by mcshelll on 03-29-2001 at 08:59 AM] |

that is why i am so hesitant to buy thru sites like these including ebay, stuff may or may not be brand new and you have to trust people to ship out the items.... i've been lucky with my experiences at half.com and received all the books and CDs i have ordered but i'm not pressing my luck anymore.... i'm sorry you received such a shoddy product, was there a picture? if so, that is false advertising if you saw one thing and received another... did that seller have a rating? |

Why in the world should this be moved to the spam board? This is in no way spam - unwanted email?!? The link is about gc's at Bidz.com and we are discussing shopping there. Yes there was a picture, but it had glare on it in the place that is damaged. I also still have not heard even one word back from them. The site says you must request a return within 15 days. I wrote shortly after the item arrived at my house, yet not one word from them in response. I wrote again yesterday and intend to write them everyday until I get a response. I think I am going to be forced to take the bracelet to a pawn shop and get what I can out of the gold. I have purchased items from Ebay, Yahoo auctions and Half.com and no problems like this one. It makes me even more upset that cs seems to be so bad when there is a problem. I am sure many people have been happy with them, but there must be more like me also. |

mcshell, did your g.c. cover your shipping? i am very nervous now because i just did my first bid and i refuse to pay for shipping if the items are bad.i got the gift certificate for free so who cares about that. I hope things work out for you.

The gift certificate did not cover shipping. I still have not heard anything at all from them either so I would not reccomend this site at all. I had hopes that they would answer me and give me what I wanted, but I think I am going to be going to the pawn shop. I had asked Bidz.com to refund the amount I paid including shipping and put my gc back in my account. I was willing to give them another try, but not now. When I first wrote them, I told them I had just won another auction but would not pay for it until they resolved the first issue. I am appalled that they have just not answered in any way. I also told them I would post about this on shopping and feedback sites. They don't think that means much I guess, but alot of people read these posts. I have posted this on MC already and later this week - when I have more time - I will go to as many as I can find to warn other people. I will also go to Planetfeedback. Does anyone know any other sites that I should post this on? Dotcoms are dropping like flies, they should worry more about bad publicity. I sing the praises of good companies and feel I must warn people about bad ones. Here is a link to a picture of the item I bought if anyone wants to see that it looks good in the picture. The glare on the name plate hides most of the damage [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or

Well, they finally answered me! They had some real lame excuse about why it took so long to respond to my email, but it looks like they will make it right. I have to pay to ship it back to them, they will not issue a call tag. They said if it as I say it is, they will refund my shipping costs too. The rep - Eli - was very nice to me even though I was upset and talking loud to him. He assures me they were not trying to hide the damage, but I am not that sure yet. I told him they need to note any damage or wear in the discription. I also told him they need to acknowledge emails right away so people know they have been received and will get an answer. If other people have good or bad experiences with Bidz.com please post so we can see how this company is operating.

| I'm sorry I posted this.
If it looks too good to be true.... it probably is. My apologies.

| I don't trust this company
Everyday I am getting email from them offering me gift certificates. How can a company afford to 'give away' so much money. They can't. I agree if it sounds to good to be true it probably is.
