Question about ashford.com?

I just noticed on another post that in the fine print, the Ashford.com coupons are not to be used for items in the fragrance dept., among other restrictions. I had gotten a code from someone else, and without knowing the restrictions, I used it towards fragrances. It went through, but now I am wondering if I will end up being billed the full amount. Has anyone else used a coupon code for fragrances? Did it work for you?

I recently used one of the $50 off $100 codes on a purchase that included fragrance, and it went through just fine. BUT I ordered other non-fragrance items as well.
I'm actually going to order more of the same fragrance with another code. With your information in mind, I will not make a fragrance only purchase.

I ordered a pair of earrings and a fragrance = $100 exactly, and it would not go through with the coupon.

The statement on the coupon is
Expires Dec 31, 2000
Not valid toward loose diamonds, fragrances or with other promotional offers.

Wah- no fair, I missed out on the fragrance for my hubby.

If you are having problems with a coupon, I would call Ashford's customer service at
1-888-929-9290 and let them know that your coupon is not working and see if they can manually apply the coupon. They have done this for me in the past. It's certainly worth a try.

Before reading the fine print, I tried using the $50 off coupon on a perfume that was over $100 - it was the only item in my order. I got an error message saying that the coupon could not be applied. (I never tried ordering a fragrance item in conjunction with something else).

I would guess that since your order went through and showed the discount, you are probably okay. If it ends up to be a problem, I would contact cs and tell them that you didn't know about the restriction when you placed the order - they seem to be very good.

CS is great at Ashford.com, they're very willing to try and get the GC's to work together with coupons. However, you can't use any coupons on ANY sale items or fragrances. This is because the fragrance store within Ashford is contracted out to someone else (I thought it was Sephora at one time but I might be mistaken).... just a thought. It used to go to a completely different site.

Does anyone know if you can combine a $50 off $100 coupon with the 20% off for using Passport?
